    Thank you so much for this vid. I've been searching for information how to run a power wire to either under the hood or under back seat to the battery. What a pain that was going to be. I wondered since CanAm has a radio installed over the windshield whether they had a power source up there already. Your vid answered that question perfectly. Mounted my BT speaker on the ceiling over front headrests and was able to fish the power cord to that power point you showed. Works perfect. Now to figure out how to cut the plastic so it will fit back over the speaker. Thanks much. Great video.

    So after watching this video I did a similar install I used Rockford Fosgate 6.5s with the same head unit so I can later run the back up camera. simple install after watching the video. To note American Dream hooks up the yellow and red wire together, black alone on ground. The boss head unit does remember am/fm stations but not the clock/time. It is a much better system than the factory for sure! Thanks for the video American Dream and keep the videos coming... Would really like to know the fix for the 2023 door lock kit!?!?!?And door seals leaking lol.

    I built my last stereo for my 19 Lonestar for about 1200 Canadian. Molded the box. Amp and 4 kickers. Planned on ordering a 23 limited so I put everything the Lonestar had on the limited and it ended up being 3000$ CAN more then the Lonestar. So for the JL stereo. Rock sliders, think theirs one more thing the Lonestar comes with. Just can’t remember, it’s almost worth going with the Lonestar if yea planned on doing those Mods anyway. I think can am is pretty smart to start putting 30s, Forward A arms and stiffer springs now on the 23s. It’s what basically everyone is doing anyway. Looking forward to my 23 Lonestar showing up. Keep up on content 🤘🏻

      The lonestar is a great option for anyone wanting a buy and done edition. JL audio makes some of the best components of any company out. I think that system would satisfy 95% of people. Along with it’s ready to go from factory. The lone star has 28” big horns also but in my opinion the other brp new tire is better if you trail ride.
      Which rock sliders did you get?
      The 23s are going to be almost perfect from factory. I’m glad to see they are listing to customers. Now if we can get them to install the locking front diff 🕺

    • @traviswood1579
      @traviswood1579 2 роки тому

      Yea their nice machines. Couple friends of mine already have the 22.5 Lonestar’s. But again. Had to buy 32” tires. The springs and forward a arms. So really shouldn’t have to do anything to these new 23s other then mirrors and flares. Uh it’s just those molded aluminum rock sliders. My 19 came with them as well but now their painting them black.

      What do you mean when you say you "put everything the Lonestar had on the Limited"? I'm reading that as saying you optioned it out like a Lonestar except for the badging - BRP has either one or two configurations they are building for the Limited and Lonestar package units they are building. Dealer can mod it, but you can't custom order from the factory.
      You aint forgettin nothin on the build difference, it comes down to 1) Black exterior option 2) rock sliders 3) JL Roof 4)Texas worship badging and upholstery.
      JL and ARC Audio have made every car audio amp I've purchased since Audiobahn quit makin that 2400 watt monoblock back in the mid 2000s!! You won't find a better company, but like pretty much every licensing agreement with a vehicle manufacturer, the OEM "JL" components are trash, in my opinion, and I say that as someone who has Focal Utopia components in my 2004 F-250 feed truck - but also as someone who can look at the interior shape and materials and realize that there is a reason companies like Pyle are leading the pack on UTV Audio.
      You'll never get truly good sound quality in a square glass and plastic cab, but just to make that Lone Star roof sound halfway decent is gonna really require you to swap out about every speaker in it, run new amps, and then your at $4-5k on the option and 2-3k to make it sound like its worth the $5,000 you spent in the first place.
      I waited for a year on a LoneStar, realized exactly what that price difference got me as far as desireable components (roof, color, rock sliders) versus what I would have to spend to strip off all the badging and upholstery with the Texas flags and "LONESTAR" logo - that shit don't play in Oklahoma. They may as well be marketing the machine in Western Canada as the "Edmonton Oilers Ultimate" edition or something, then trying to figure out why they aren't as popular in Calgary as they are in BC.
      But anyway, my point was after that year wait on the lonestar my dealer got in a Limited in the Mossy Oak that looked way better, except for the roof , and for $7,000USD less? You can buy a lot of tire, suspension, and stereo upgrades with that money you keep in you pocket that way.
      I'm assuming that machine has probably arrived by now - what are your impressions actually owning the JL Roof?

      Those wires just supply the current needed so you can retip or direct wire them. I’d recommend getting a connector matching for future purposes.
      On the light bar mounting just pilot a hole in your roof and black silicone the hole after. They also make black plugs that many paintless dent repair guys use.
      Just a side thought I’ve never had much luck with light bars on the roof. They tend to hit tree limbs and such. Mount it as flush to your roof face as possible so nothing is above roof line.
      Hopefully this helps buddy

      In my area it works great. I haven’t installed any external antennas yet. But I live about 8-10 minutes from town. I’ll give a update after I get further away. It’s a nice unit and has great options. It’s a little bit of a challenge to figure out presents but if you have trouble let me know.

      We can hear it fine while riding. This video wasn’t really too show sound quality of a cheap speaker setup. It’s more to show that for sub $300 you can sound better than the factory $900 and have a way better head unit. If you really want it to sound good get 4 6.5 JL audio marine speakers with a small 4 way amp. Then add a sub.

    Yo. Question. So I have my light bar mounted. I’m wanting to power the light bar using auxiliary wire on the head unit. My question is the led light switch that came with light has a blue, black and white wire. Would the white be ground? And the blue and black both power? Do I attach the black and blue wire together with the auxiliary wire? Thanks

    • @americandream_89
      @americandream_89  Рік тому

      I would hate to say it without seeing wiring schematic on the light bar. But in my experience, the black wire has always been ground. The white wire has always been power. And whatever other color, they include has been a secondary ground.
