Prof Wells is a respiratory consultant and one of the world's leading experts on sarcoidosis. He leads the sarcoidosis clinic at the Royal Brompton, one of the UK's top centres managing sarcoidosis, particularly complex and progressive cases.
    Prof Wells has published extensively on sarcoidosis over the past 2 decades. He is Vice-President of WASOG, the global sarcoidosis association. He sits on the advisory boards of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and Thorax. He also chairs various clinical expert groups at the British Thoracic Society, American Thoracic Society and European Respiratory Society and regularly speaks at these society's conferences.
    In this video he explains what sarcoidosis is, what 'complex' and 'progressive' sarcoidosis are and how they are diagnosed and treated. He also advises on key questions for patients to ask their doctor.
