I bought one at a flea market today. It came in its original box and includes leaflet and instructions. Serial no V6524, and it is in absolute mint condition - literally never used. Which is particularly nice is that mine was distributed here in South Africa by a local company, and the instructions are localized, too!
I've been wanting to get one of those Jaap - some of the ebay prices seem a bit silly compared to a fully blown electric mechanical calculator!!! Nice to see how they work - I'd never seen one in action before.
I really like the design of this, but it's too bad it only has C and D scales. My beautiful but dinky little KL-1 manages to have an A scale, S scale, T scale, and CI scale on an object the size of a pocketwatch. If you could fit at least that many scales onto something with this basic design, you'd have a real contender for sexiest slide rule.
Hi Jaap, nice presentation. I have a model K, where the paper is wrapped a bit out of place and a model L that matches perfectly. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
1921 teachers were like "oh what, do you think you'll always have a calculator in your pocket?"
This is great- never seen one before.
Just got recommend this, this vid will blow up soon
so did I, I have never been this early before lol
this was honestly the most interesting thing i have seen today...

Extremely interesting I love seeing old items and inventions thanks for the video :)
Cute. A slide rule with a constant... :)
Wow this is a great channel I just discovered! Really great introduction!
That's a cool old mechanical calculator design. Interesting video.
My old maths teacher advised 'always keep your fingers off the numbers'.
This was interesting. Thank you for sharing. It is stuff like this that makes UA-cam impressive; it is unlikely that I would see a device like this.
