I am drawn to the mandolin. I can play flute or did years ago. But I would be learning from scratch so to speak. Is there an affordable mandolin for beginners that you recommend?
Go to a brick and mortar store and try out a variety. Buy the one in your price range that stays in tune. A lot of stores will do a set-up for you, making the strings as easy as possible to press down. Tell them you're a beginner. So, in the end, brand doesn't matter so much if you're just starting out.
@@JamieAndersonMusicthank you for your response. I have found one online that’s a Ibanez brand. What are your thoughts on that brand?
@@JamieAndersonMusic my left hand is weaker than my right due to a neurological disorder. But when I get determined about something I usually overcome somehow or other!!!
@@thevictorianedge5465 as I say above, brand doesn't matter much. It may after you become a better player.
Im still struggling with the A chord every time i try i end up muting the e string im sure i just need to oractice but any tips
What form of the A chord are you doing? The top 2 sets of strings on the second fret?
@@JamieAndersonMusicI just rewatched I ment the C chord sorry
@@clifford3467 you probably need to play more with your fingertips. Make sure your fingers have a nice arch and aren't laying down on the fretboard.
Jesus, why does the actual tutorial start halfway through the whole short, was all that lot of nothing burgers really necessary?
You couldn't wait 20 seconds?
