  • Pitschl GmbH is a carpentry and wood processing company in South Tyrol. As part of a site modernization project, Hundegger planned a system solution consisting of a joinery system, conveyor technology, extraction system and shredder.
The UNTHA LR700 shredder is connected to the joinery system via a feed conveyor belt and is automatically fed with the residual wood. Wood waste can also be fed into the hopper manually. As soon as wood residue enters the hopper, the shredder starts automatically and stops as soon as there is no more wood residue in the hopper. This avoids idling and saves energy.
The shredded wood chips are transported into a silo via an extraction system, from where they are fed into the company's own wood chip heating system. Pitschl thus supplies the entire company site and is therefore energy self-sufficient.
