White Bass Fishing, Day 2, 5/21/2024

We start Day 2 in the late morning. We first try Hwy 19 by the airport...nothing. We try a spot behind Walmart...catch 2 northern pikes. We go back to Channel A. Before the week is over, we want to launch the boat.

The fish are plentiful. The difference between success and skunk is, equipment; presentation; weather; time of the day; and location. We caught our limits on 72nd toward the state park on Saturday night, 10 p.m., when most people gave up and left the shoreline.

That island is private property i believe. People got in trouble s few years back by the dnr. If you fish in ye water then it’s ok but the moment you step on the island you are trespassing.

Maybe some folks are not great at finding fish but weather is the main factor why some people park on the road and fish. If the weather is good and wind is light, nothing beats being on the boat and finding your own honey hole.

Some people do not have any other options. Some just prefer to keep life simple. For me, I choose when and where to shore fish or boating.

We aint got nothin to worry about it. Most Hmong people can only access the shorelines...white bass is a deep water fish.

Lmfao this is why I say hmongs love to hate eachother. Fishing shoulder to shoulder is considered embarrassing and taking the boat out to fish near shore gets frowned upon... we just can't fish without helping out our own hmong people! That's the real embarrassment.
