Great video man! Nice to see another motovlogger in the dc area. I’m just outside of DC. Keep up the great work!

Agree about excluding bikes, all should be welcome, especially to help a good cause.
Another great video, please keep at it!

Hey hey... you pronounced my name well enough :D ... My parent's weren't thinking about an international career for me... or they were, because it is my best conversation starter anywhere I go. :D
In Lisbon we got to ride with very distinguished policeman, with longer moustaches than the vast majority of riders, so they too were in tune with the ride... that helps, and makes the ride even better as no stop lights and no speed limits for anyone :D . cool you liked the ride... pitty you got lost, but helas... the ride was posted before :D so a Beeline always comes on handy.
About excluding the bikes... they aren't excluded... you are free to participate on any kind of bike, and even wardrobe... the thing is if you do... YOU will be the one feeling out of touch with the rest of people, so it might end up not being a fun ride for you... but NO ONE will bar you from participating. ;) About the bow tie...every year the UA-cam ratings for bow tie tiers goes up :D :D :D . See ya next year! (bandwith issues might have given youtube the reason for not allowing the direct)

Our DGR in Bournemouth & Poole, England turned out huge, we had over 600 riders, biggest in the UK and 12th biggest in the world! Huge turnout of spectators as well. Will be on a speed twin for next year. And we do it like you said regarding bike styles, classics are encouraged and put at the front generally, but there is no restriction on taking part

I totally agree about the bike requirements. I ride a sport bike and spoke with my local DGR representatives for next year. I want to participate in the ride next year not just donate.

Participated in Portland. Was a blast. A long two hours though. Also on my own Speed Twin!

Nice! I'm pretty sure we had one of each Speed Twin color ever made represented here. Aside from maybe the Breitling edition haha

Cool video! DGR is a blast. Hope you got to talk to a lot of people. Noticed you ditched the Arai and are sporting a Shoei RF-1400! Looking forward to your review video. Any thoughts to share now? Like how it compares to the Arai and your old RF-1200? Ride on - Be safe!

Thanks! I'm planning to do a complete rundown once I've got the camera setup fully dialed in and have some freeway experience to report on. Tbh so far I find it to be in no way superior to the 1200, and in one way inferior (visor latch is unnecessary and poorly positioned for GoPro users). Overall it's still great though, and I'm sure it's safer than ever. The aerodynamics feel vastly superior to the Arai.

@@VanBlamm thanks, and looking forward to the video. I bought my 1200 new last year, so I'll use it till its 5th birthday. Based on your and other opinions, no need to rush out and upgrade. But I'm prone to new tech/features and the "I want the shiny new object" syndrome. Fortunately, I have the suspension parts to upgrade Sir Speedy to occupy me right now
