There are very few truly interesting cities in the world. Like beautiful women who are rare among so many ugly women, the really attractive cities in the world are few. For me, who has traveled most of the world, I find New York unbeatable, then fascinating cities like Istanbul, Chicago and Madrid. Vancouver is also beautiful. Berlin, which I know, is an ugly and rather dull city, like most German cities. Paris is much prettier than London, for example. But today it suffers from the Third World invasion that completely transformed Audrey Hepburn's beloved old Paris. The current world in relation to the world of the 70's/80's - it's gotten a lot worse, on all levels. And few cities in today's world offer the allure of yesteryear. In the third world cities like Lagos/Nigeria, Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, Cairo/Egypt and New Delhi/India are hell on earth.

I was in Berlin last summer. The city is beautiful, I can't wait to go back and visit that awesome city again.

How ware you able to fly? Isn't Berlin under "Enhanced restriction zone"? Did you get a special permit to fly?
