I'm bringing the JBL 300 to a weekend long festival. Could you explain how to hook this up to an external battery? I want it to last a lot longer than 5 hours at maximum volume. There's no videos explaining exactly what battery I would need to get and how to connect it to the DC in. Also how long would an external battery last if you were to guess ? Thanks so much!
Thanks for your inquiry! This is designed to be recharged by connecting to a power receptacle. We haven’t tried charging it off a portable battery pack, though with the amount of power this speaker needs to be effective, I would doubt a portable recharger would be sufficient. If you were to successfully use an external battery pack, the additional charge time would depend entirely on the external battery you are using and the mAH it is capable of transferring.

i was thinking about this Partybox100 and Boombox2, boombox 2 is a little pricey and i dont usually bring boombox in beaches. i just want your expert advice, i check the Boombox2 Frequency response its 50hz -20Khz and Partybox 100 is 45hz-18Khz does the partybox has less highs or theyre the same with Boombox 2?
Thanks for your question. The difference in rated frequency response is negligible. The biggest difference is speaker components size, power output, portability, and price.
The Aux 3.5 input does not seem to be active; by this I mean if I have a standard MP3, or older iPhone, the Aux out (3.5mm) does not play music trough the Party Box 100. Is this standard or is it possible my particular unit (3 days old) does not connect through Aux input.
Thanks for your question. Confirm that your connecting cable from your device is plugged into AUX Input. Please note the following regarding using the Aux Connection: - When the USB source is not playing, Bluetooth can break in and play music from the phone. - When USB is playing, Bluetooth cannot break in USB. - Priority goes to USB, Bluetooth and then Aux. To play music on your portable audio device through this speaker, make sure that no Bluetooth connection or USB device is available. 1) Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) to: • the headphone socket of your portable audio device; • the AUX connector of this speaker. I hope that helps. Please give us a call at 1-866-961-7781 if you are still having trouble.
@@WorldWideStereo Thank you, I also launched a help Ticket with JBL/HBC, they determined that the unit may need a HARD RESET; and when I completed the steps - AUX input now works. To perform Reset on Unit 1. Turn Unit On 2. Press and Hold the (+) and (Play) buttons for 10 seconds; the unit will turn off; release buttons. 3. After 3-5 seconds the unit will Restart. When I did the steps above...the hard reset made the connection active through AUX IN. I tried connecting to multiple sources (2 phones, 2 iPads) and all is well.
Thanks for your question. Bluetooth stated range is 30 feet (line of sight). The closer you are to the 30 feet maximum the more likely interference could be an issue.
Hello and thanks for your review! Can you tell me please what would you choose between the partybox 100 and partybox 300 in terms of sound quality.I have only listend to the 200 and 300 and really they are just loud ,good bass but crap mids and highs.Don t care about the weight and size ..Thanks alot !
Hi Andrei - great question! The mids and highs are pretty consistent between the 100 - 300, so it really depends on what you would be using it for. If you are looking for the extra bass, I would pick the 300. If you are looking for something that's more portable, I would pick the 100. Hope that helps!
@@WorldWideStereo Thank you for your quick reply! Is there any difference in sound quality between PB 200 and PB 300 because i really don t need the battery, have mains available anywhere i m listening music. Thanks again for your reply ,i really appreciate it!
Good afternoon, 2 weeks I thought which one to take, 100 or 300, the question is not about money. I listened to 100 and 300, my opinion is that 100 plays better. I think 300 is not a finalized model. 100 model does not compensate for the shortcomings of 300, but everyone who says that 300 is better understood wants to get rid of them. 100 I really liked playing louder than it looks)
It definitely depends on your listening preference and how you plan to use the speaker. The PartyBox 100 is a solid choice for those looking for a more compact solution and better highs/mids than bass (although, the bass is still really great with the 100!)
Can somebody please help me. I am trying to connect to 100s and I wonder which one gets dedicated as left and which one as right? Is there a way to decide this? Also, when i connect i hear that the sound comes from one more than from the other, like singing voice for example. Sometimes by itself it adjusts and i get proper stereo, but usually it just gives me more from one speaker than from the other :( Also which speaker do you connect to? And do you connect before pairing them between each other or after ? :(((
Hi FIRE3FLY - This speaker is not intended for use as a car speaker or subwoofer, and there is no way to have it automatically turn on with your car. Yes, this is the smallest speaker of the PartyBox series.
Hi! I'm looking to buy this one due to its versatility, but I'm torn between a soundbar and this partybox 100! I will be mostly using the speaker I'll purchase for movies (netflix) and music. Is this partybox 100 good for movies too?
Hi Daniel - Are you primarily going to use the product with a TV? The PartyBox is a great speaker for movies and music, but depending on your use case, a sound bar might be the better choice for home movie watching.
@@WorldWideStereo Hi! Thank you very much for your reply. I can't say primarily for movies, but definitely sometimes. I really consider buying this partybox but I need and wanted to convince myself first over a sound bar. You said this is a great speaker for movies as well? Well if I can maybe watch movies currently with a TV speaker, using partybox 100 will elevate the sound even more right?
@@danieltamayo613 the PartyBox will definitely improve the sound from regular TV speakers, but if your primary use will be with a TV, I would recommend choosing a sound bar instead.
Went down to the local store today, just had to test how it behaves when playing from a usb-stick! Couldn’t find anything on da internet regarding that. One click on play, is start and and more is stop obviously, two clicks fast is next track, YES, that’s good enough, and three clicks, could it be next folder, please. Nah, it was previous track. So no folder jumping it seems, from my quick test with a 32GB ultra small sandisk stick, those tiny ones. Wonder if it is 99 songs maximum in a folder? Anyone? I’m getting one next week. Gonna use my own instrumentals, with mic and echo! Btw you could use a small battery powered mixer for two mics into the mic input, and same for guitar. It’s a bit too small for that, but two mics with a small splitter, or a small mixer should work. My mic is a Sontronics Solo! The best!
Thanks very much for your inquiry. As an authorized USA dealer, the manufacturer provides us access only to 120VAC products. I hope that answers your question.
Can you set the lights to remain a static color like red? Also can they be controlled via a phone app for volume adjustments? I'd like to use one for an outdoor projector setup but would also like to be able to control the volume remotely....
Thanks for your question! The PartyBox has several RGB LED patterns to choose from, but at this time, there is not an option for a static color to be chosen.
Thanks for your question. JBL does not publish input sensitivity specifications for the mic and guitar inputs. However, I asked JBL for clarification, hence the delay in answering your inquiry. The input characteristics are different on the mic vs. guitar inputs. Plugging a mic into the guitar input would result in very low output. So, we recommend only using one mic at a time.
Alguém já comprou? Se já sabem informar se a Bateria dessa Partybox 100,é boa? Se aguenta pelo menos umas 8 horas com volume no máximo sem luzes ligada?
Best way to ensure maximum volume is to make certain that the playback source you have connected has its own volume control turned up so that you’re feeding PartyBox the maximum volume. Thanks again.
Very similar to the Sony gtk xb60 & The XB72. Are they made by the same company by any chance? I'm not sure if Sony is a member of the Harman group like JBL,but the speakers are pretty much identical on looks features LED's Strobe etc (exept for the branding).
Thanks so much for your question. The PartyBox 300 is significantly louder than the 100 and very much worth the difference. Thanks again and please enjoy.
Thanks for your question. The PartyBox 100 has a line-level 3.5mm Aux-in which could be connected to the headphone jack (if so equipped) of your TV or it could be connected wirelessly to your TV if the TV has wireless Bluetooth (output) streaming capability.
The JBL PartyBox speakers can be linked wirelessly but that is limited to two speakers. If you are connecting the Partybox speakers with analog inputs then the only limitation at the source component and how you split the analog signal.
Thanks for your inquiry. The PartyBox 100 has one mic and one guitar input. They have differing input sensitivity so two mics would require setting the volume carefully. Wireless microphone receivers output may be at mic level or line level. PartyBox 100 has only one line input and no echo effects.
Hi Zeek - it doesn't look like JBL published that exact spec, but you can see the full list of specifications on page 12 of the JBL PartyBox 100 user manual: usermanual.wiki/JBL/JBLPartyBox100OwnersManualEN.9471740
Thanks so much for your question. The JBL PartyBox 100 has an analog Aux input - 1/8th inch 3 conductor stereo. If your TV has an analog audio output or headphone jack, with the appropriate adapter/connection cables, you should be able to use the PartyBox to play your TV.
Mate question i bought one jbl 300 and i play in a party with maximum volume and only in five hours the baterry was in last ligth that is right or something wrong the baterry life because it says that is for 18 hours?
Battery life duration can depend on the volume of playing. Higher volume consumes more power and depletes the battery faster. 18 hours is achievable with the unit, but JBL is unlikely to have used the item at max volume for their battery life testing - thus, max volume will lead to shorter battery life than the specified duration. Even so, 5 hours seems briefer than I would anticipate - their battery life predictions usually don’t differ from practicality by that wide of a margin. Keep an eye on it, and if performance is consistently that short, reach out to our customer service department before your 60 day return period is over.

@@WorldWideStereo very well said i will follow your advice, thank you very much. more power to your channel.
@@WorldWideStereo Thank you, I also launched a help Ticket with JBL/HBC, they determined that the unit may need a
HARD RESET; and when I completed the steps - AUX input now works.
To perform Reset on Unit
1. Turn Unit On
Awesome review!
Thanks for watching!
The Partybox 100 has an 3,5 mm aux output. You can connect it wired with a boombox.
Hi, if I want to connect another speaker via Aux out, is that possible?
According to the EU Harman Kardon/JBL helpdesk it's possible to link another speaker via the AUX 3,5 mm out.

How far apart can you have the 2 in stereo without the sound cutting out? How about if you walk between them?
@@andreipetrescu603 The only difference between them is the battery - so if you don't need the battery, the 200 would be a great option.
So wHicH one you bougHt ?
WHicH is better PB100 or 300 !
Best review of pb100 so far
Can somebody please help me. I am trying to connect to 100s and I wonder which one gets dedicated as left and which one as right? Is there a way to decide this? Also, when i connect i hear that the sound comes from one more than from the other, like singing voice for example. Sometimes by itself it adjusts and i get proper stereo, but usually it just gives me more from one speaker than from the other :( Also which speaker do you connect to? And do you connect before pairing them between each other or after ? :(((
Can/ should i use this as a car speaker/subwoofer?
Any way that it starts automatucly when i turn on the car?
Is this the smaller of the partyboxes?
Will it be ok to plug it directly when use. Isn't it a battery operated device? will it cause damage to the batteries?
Hi Nom - Yes, you can plug it in or run it off battery power.
@@WorldWideStereo thank you so much. One more thing? In either 220VAC and 110VAC will be fine?

The best!
Is it okay to use the party box 100 while plugging into a 220 vac power outlet without affecting the battery lifespan of the battery?
Thanks very much for your inquiry. As an authorized USA dealer, the manufacturer provides us access only to 120VAC products. I hope that answers your question.
Hi but if i have 120vac converter is it possible or reccomended without affecting the battery lifespan. thanks for the info.
Hi,
Can it connect two mics - one in mic and other one in guitar socket?
Hi Rajeev - great question. Only one mic can be connected at a time.
I have a usb, but the music won't play in the speaker. Can someone help me?
Can you set the lights to remain a static color like red? Also can they be controlled via a phone app for volume adjustments? I'd like to use one for an outdoor projector setup but would also like to be able to control the volume remotely....
no the colors are at random, sadly lol
Thanks for your question! The PartyBox has several RGB LED patterns to choose from, but at this time, there is not an option for a static color to be chosen.
How do you charge the battery? is it using the AC wire?
Thanks for your question. Plugging in the AC cord charges the battery.
Thanks! Great video.
How power up you vender nr 250 box
If the speaker is oriented horizontally, will it play left and right channel? in stereo?
Thanks for your question. By adding a second PartyBox 100 and pairing them to each other they can be configured for stereo.
World Wide Stereo Thank you! :)
Can you plug a mic into the guitar socket so you can have 2 mics going at the same time?
Thanks for your question.
JBL does not publish input sensitivity specifications for the mic and guitar inputs. However, I asked JBL for clarification, hence the delay in answering your inquiry. The input characteristics are different on the mic vs. guitar inputs. Plugging a mic into the guitar input would result in very low output. So, we recommend only using one mic at a time.

Can u pair a 100 and 300 together wirelessly or even wired?
Yes it's possible via the aux out - aux in. Only partymode, no stereo.
If I pair it with another box via the 3.5mm jack, will it bit STEREO, or 2 times MONO?
Hi Tigree Ampluch - Thanks for your question. It will be 2x mono.
Hi can i connect my keyboard to jbl 100
Does anybody else’s speaker shut off randomly when it’s plugged in or know how to fix it?
Hi, how to get move volume out from Aux out?

Best way to ensure maximum volume is to make certain that the playback source you have connected has its own volume control turned up so that you’re feeding PartyBox the maximum volume. Thanks again.
Which one is better in terms of bass at outdoor 100 Or 300?
Partybox 100 is best for all indor and outdoor
Very similar to the Sony gtk xb60 & The XB72. Are they made by the same company by any chance? I'm not sure if Sony is a member of the Harman group like JBL,but the speakers are pretty much identical on looks features LED's Strobe etc (exept for the branding).
Thanks for your question. Sony is not part of the Harman Group.
Party box 100 is just fabulous 😍
Does it shuffle the music from the usb stick?

How many watts you have if u pair 2 partyboxes 100
? Double?
Wow.... what a dumb question
Is the 300 much louder than the 100? Is it worth the upgrade?

Hi, i just want to know how to use jbl partybox 100 while connected to the television with sounds out to the jbl? Thanks
Thanks for your question. The PartyBox 100 has a line-level 3.5mm Aux-in which could be connected to the headphone jack (if so equipped) of your TV or it could be connected wirelessly to your TV if the TV has wireless Bluetooth (output) streaming capability.
HOW MANY JBL PARTYBOX OF SAME MODEL CAN YOU CONNECT TOGETHER USING A WIRED AN ANALOG CONNECTION?
The JBL PartyBox speakers can be linked wirelessly but that is limited to two speakers. If you are connecting the Partybox speakers with analog inputs then the only limitation at the source component and how you split the analog signal.
Can we use 2 wireless microphone?? With echo??
Thanks for your inquiry. The PartyBox 100 has one mic and one guitar input. They have differing input sensitivity so two mics would require setting the volume carefully. Wireless microphone receivers output may be at mic level or line level. PartyBox 100 has only one line input and no echo effects.
Aptx or 5.0 ?
Can it connect 2 microphones at the same time?
Hi Paul - only one microphone can be connected at a time.
How many dB can it play on full volume?
Hi Zeek - it doesn't look like JBL published that exact spec, but you can see the full list of specifications on page 12 of the JBL PartyBox 100 user manual: usermanual.wiki/JBL/JBLPartyBox100OwnersManualEN.9471740
Can it be connected directly into a TV?
