That's just SS13 in a nutshell. Massive skill gap between newbies and someone who knows even the basics of clicking spessmen. The clunky-ass windows XP GUI doesn't help
@@dependent-ability8631 Id say this is especially true on these types of antags which are massive TDMs. While some are far easier on new players as they dont have to fight the whole crew like traitors or on the other side of the spectrum xenos which have such a strong kit a baldie can take down multiple experienced players.
It is true especially on No-RP servers like some TG servers that I believe Livrah plays on to record these videos. Experienced players know where things are, how they work, how to build bombs, where to hide a cult base and it work, etc. They know how to fight, who's the most important person to kill, how to access important rooms, how tf AI even works. As another comment said as well, "That's just SS13 in a nutshell. Massive skill gap between newbies and someone who knows even the basics of clicking spessmen." Those scenarios happen less on RP servers because most antags become RP focused rather than TDM like cult. Let it be known, I enjoy this stuff and think it's awesome, I'm just making it clear that results vary from server to server and from RP to no RP.
Very cool, love cult and icebox. I was impressed by the unity cult had at the start in cargo but I think they were a bit overconfident in their ability to take out sec, the new kickstart for the cult was a real treat to watch.
"Employer: The Geometer of Blood" really opened my eyes to the antag grindset. I wonder how many characters like that there are in fiction. Dudes who go "I am a professional troublemaker, and now I get to make more trouble" when offered eldritch power.
Truly amazing that a single man can do this much damage, even as the odds are tilted against their favors. Only because they simply happened to be the right man in the wrong place. And then you realize it's Livrah and he just so happened to be the WORLD'S GREATEST cultist.
not a long time ago i once carried cult hard by using that one 500 blood magic spell, reviving everyone and becoming a leader. i summoned all and we won (tramstation as Julian Elliott)
On Icebox if you just wraith in front of the AI you will be lasered by 2 turrets before you can kill it, I swear on other stations its easier so people take it as a given and get Ass Blast USA
Possibly an engiborg or 2 took down the walls that wraiths can hide in and were defending the AI with welding tools. Wraiths are extremely weak in combat and lose to anything that fights back, practically their only purpose is killing a defenseless AI, breaking machines and using hit-and-run tactics to fuck with unarmed crew. but also they were probably just shit and jaunted into lasers
@@SikGamer70 Wraiths get overconfident because they often surprise AIs that haven't turned on lethals yet before cult is widespread, definitely should phase into the wall to stay safe but I think the AI sat on icebox being multi level makes it hard to gauge where your gonna end up without xray.
it's /tg/station, the admins are a lot more relaxed when it comes to antags griefing/stalling rounds. at most they would spawn in a deathsquad or fuck with the antag in other ways - especially if the antag is being a boring murderboner.
Hey, I was wondering about the limb damage system recently, and I figured you have knowledge on it. Do certain limbs take more damage? Is there any other nuances? Is it best to just target the leg most of the time?
I’m 99% sure the head takes more damage, arms and legs have a damage cap and will usually just delimb if they take too much brute (weirdly enough they’d actually gain health since their damaged limb isn’t there to give them damage)
Arms and legs can only take a certain amount of damage so if you keep hitting those body parts you won't deal any more damage but body and head can take damage up to 600. I am unsure how protection works but I would imagine that arms and legs are sometimes exposed but targeting the limbs is going to be more micro and you also have to keep track of how much damage you deal so you would have to alternate when you know you have hit them close to the limit or hit the limit. Also removing the limbs also removed the damage so if you accidentally remove a leg or arm they are suddenly more healthy.
to sum up the above: target the head, unless your target is wearing a helmet without body armor (an engineer for example), or you're going for some weird de-limb gimmick with an axe/esword. i've never seen someone chop off both arms of a secoff in combat (it's way easier to just stun/crit them) but it'd be funny as hell to watch
You can cleanse a cult shard with the bible, and it will be crew sided. If you manage to get construct shell, you can make blue non cult constructs too.
I like how the crew kept trying to one up you guys by claiming you were losing, not realizing that cults are slow and insidious killers. You clearly dont win by going balls to the walls earlier, much less immediately, it takes time to build up everything. Yet they kept throwing insults or spewing blasphemy about you losing. Like, idiots (and AI), the game ain't over till every cultist is dead.
