It's good to see dealers letting farmers do promotion deals on equipment. Concrete in new shop looks good. Your house is really coming together nicely. I really admire the way your family works together on things. It's good to see how your dad still gets involved in everything. I miss my dad and taking his advice. While farming with my dad he would always ask what I thought about something we were doing knowing he had already made his mind up. Cherish your dad and spend time with him. At my age I still think about how daddy would want things done.

For the shop Offices, think about vinyl plank flooring.

Office floor.... In my house garage I used Rust-Oleum paint with colored chips thrown on top. Follow instructions, especially the cleaning before application and it will give you a nice looking floor. Easy to clean, after at least 6 years, mine is holding up well.

Paint and or clear coat. Just something to seal it. Obviously that’s a huge floor to cover or seal. Both projects look great!
That pecks line that you use for a waterline you can use it in your shop to run airline across your shop and it works real good
Dont know much about MF other than back in the day they used the perkins motor which was a good engine, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Where we are in central Minnesota we have only received 1.6 inches of total rainfall since the snow melted! It looks rough. Rain has been close, just not here.
Acid stain on concrete looks pretty cool and is easy to do!!
A few years ago i found a new mechanic. He showed with Ohio plates on his truck. I told him i watched you on UA-cam. He said he worked on for Ohio ag and worked on your stuff . Nate is in South Texas and doing great fyi.
The 8S replaced the large frame 7700S series. The 8700s series is still in production. Goes up to 400hp. There is supposed to be a 9S coming to replace that series

Just use a good clear sealer. It will look pretty good.
I'd seal that new cement to ease in clean up. And I think you'll want a floor scrubber and Larson Farms just bought a nice one that vacs (sweeps) and scrubs.

Nice video, Brian. I always liked Masseys. We ran John Deere's but before we bought the JD3010 we used the landlord's Massey 165 one year for rotary hoeing. That was in about 1969 or 1970. That was the only time I ever ran a Massey. Of course it did not have a cab or any creature comforts. Farmers today are spoiled. LOL. Just kidding. Today's tractors are much better for a farmers health than the old school ones were. But the price of today's tractors really blows my mind. In fact the price of all modern farm equipment blows my mind. Dad bought his first JD4020 Diesel in 1964 and I think he paid around $6000 for it brand new. Times have changed. Sorry about the crack in your new shop floor. That's really a bummer. Especially considering what the floor cost.

we just got a massy ferguson 1745d baler. It was either that or a johndeere baler that our 85 hp tractor can pull we chose the massy bcs of the dealer being 2 miles away and are friends with the owner
Concrete always cracks and seldom on the lines they cut in it. We just painted the concrete floors in the office and break room in the shop.

@@roblonsdale8927it's only the power shift models. No problems at all with the cvt transmission. The 305 is only available with a cvt

I would epoxy the office floor only and put a general concrete sealer on the shop floor and call it good.
You can never go wrong with shag carpeting or vynil flooring.
They make bigger 8s masseys as well with 8.4 liter engine. We have a 350 and really like it. I think they go up to at least 370 or 390hp

The cheapest concrete sealer that you can buy and spray on with a handheld sprayer from Menards will be the best thing you could use thank you Scott Thompson Weathershield
If i could send rain north to you i would. In June we got probably 16" or rain.....almanac projected 6.5" for the month. Here it is July 12 and weve probably got 12in since the 3rd.......makes it extremely difficult to get anything done like spray.

Make a light rope and clip leash for the camera on the back of the mower or tillage, so you don't need to search for it when it falls off.
I would have to try it on tillage also, no sense of having something that won’t do both jobs

Did you install a vapor barrier below slab. If so and I think you did for in slab heat.
Then you can do about anything.
If not. Then either bare or ceramic tile is your options. Or throw rugs. But not floating floor.

Office. I would do an LVT. That has Thick wear layer and cushion pad. Look nice and easy to clean.

I know most of you don't care, but Farming Simulator 22 is getting the Horsch Avatar in game at the end of the month. We already have the 8S, although I think in game we get 325 HP as top engine.

Never noticed that row of water tanks before. Used for spraying I assume. Do you fill them from a well or have water trucked in? How many tanks and gallons per?

Nice to see dealers letting farmers try equipment nowadays . Started in the 80's with nothing and if you wanted equipment you researched it yourself and had to buy it and hoped it worked like they said. Been able to amass a great deal of wealth over the years without demo's and proud of it. I imagine they are using youtubers for their advertisement .
They only let the largest farmer try out equipement. I will say that Ohio Ag Equipement in general has treated me better then the local Deere dealership does. Local Deere has a high turn over also.

Don’t be fooled…… they don’t just send equipment out to everyone to use for a extended period of time
I'd say dealers are better at hosting demo days showing off equipment than in the 80/90's. You can't judge what a UA-camr gets to normal farmers. Only other time most farmers get demo like this is when dealer is trying to sell a farmer a tractor on the lot vs ordering one in.
@@robo1210 Well, they do have that Fendt with a bad hub/seal. Maybe they took that with them to the shop.
Word of advice, get rid of those plastic hangers for your septic line.
Had the same ones fail on me when I had a backup. The entire line came crashing down. As you can imagine, it was not a pleasant experience. And before anyone asks, they were placed every 16". Once one breaks, they all will fail.
I have a 60x100 and our new house is a 66x40 Brando
Only thing we did to our finished floor is sealer / acid treat it
They are our finished floors and my wife loves them
The pole barn is climate controlled
We live in it with some equipment and our RV
Those floors sold her on doing the same for the house floors
Zero maintenance , easy to clean and not too slippery

You must have an awesome dealer. I work for Agco and cannot even get a demo…sure as h not going to buy another Massey or Fendt. Pretty sad really.
