The quality of English and Tamil in schools should increase. Many of Ra. Shhiva's ideas are part of academic discussion and planning. The problem is in the execution. Even in UP, people in villages and small towns with simple earnings have begun to prefer English-medium schools. Even if the teachers in those schools have trouble speaking in English, people prefer them. Change will happen soon.

Statistics is not hard fact, it's pliable, it give you trend and big pictures. Lack of English fluency is an issue for small part, not the sole reason for disparity between rich and poor in India. Do you think there is no poor people in America ? No disparity between rich and poor in America? You know everyone speaks English in US right.
He pointed out lack of education in English language especially in science subjects. Many graduates struggle to gain knowledge because of English language inefficiency. We can't study free online classes from Harvard or MIT without English proficiency.
