Pretty sure Euronymous supported bands outside of Norway. Merciless, Dissection, Marduk, all Swedish bands. Shit, Sigh (Japan), their first one was released on his label Deathlike Silence. But indeed, it seems became a bit of an egomaniac as time went on.
It must have been in his final years where he turned out that way. In the old interviews he was backing up the UG international bands. Wanted to see more of it.

I was the guy in the Black Witchery shirt that you met and took a photo with. I totally understand your point about the audience just standing around and not headbanging or doing anything as I was there and there were a lot of statues at that show. Hope you guys don't take too long to get back down here and play because your show was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time despite the crowd underperforming.

I dont blame him, the majority of the crowd were doing the standing around with folded arms acting to good for letting loose. Its a underground metal show, a rare chance where you are surrounded by like minded people and not sheeple. Should be having a good time and at least making an effort to physically respond to the music. Bands feed off the energy or lack thereof the crowd gives them. He left the stage abruptly and pretty angrily at the end

More USBM bands: Thy Feeble Saviour, VON, Sacrilegious Torment, Burning Winds, Royal Arch Blaspheme, Demoncy, Martirvore, Witchtomb, Void Meditation Cult, Prosanctus Inferi... ...and Im sure there's more that I'm not familiar with. Just as Master Ledney states: USBM is a style of playing, not a location. They started in Brewster, New York but later relocated to Danbury. It would sure be nice if that Profanatica & Nunslaughter tour hit Connecticut; this state gets almost nothing in terms of shows.
