Hope Jacksonville public officials get these projects right. Jacksonville seems to drop the ball when it comes to reconstruction. In 5-10 years these reconstruction become useless from a lack of long term innovation. Those that decide are old school with old school ideas. Really hope these upcoming public construction and reconstruction will propel this city into a more interesting place for current and future residents and young families.

There’s parking meters everywhere that turn in to free parking after 6p on damn near every street, and those of us that actually live here are known to complain about all the parking garages and nothing to do in downtown to justify having them. Do you even live in Jacksonville?
Ever been to Chicago? That silver “bean” brings so many people that area. I think it can do the same here in jax…it is a very poorly designed sculpture. I’d take it in all caps in a different font 🤷🏽♂️

Still don’t know why they insist on putting the “Jax” word statue there (or anywhere). Better to plant a tree than something so meaningless and basic.
