Good morning brother and sisters. May OYA bless you and you family, and your prayers answered. God Bless Africa and its soil! I am a proud African woman . Thank you in advance. I am praying for a new home for my children, a new job, a cleansed spirit, to keep sober minded, to have more self love for myself realizing my worth. I am praying to no longer be used by man but used by SPIRIT TO HELP MAN. I know who I am. I thank this power FULL Goddess and the each and every voice in this song that works through - the sounds that send chill through my veins giving me confirmation that I am EXACTLY WHERE I NEED TO BE. I accept my mistakes, my past, present and future. I am now living and no longer existing. Thank you OYA for your power.
I cried out to God and my ancestors today and as I type this right now, we are having a big storm and I feel heard! Yéyé Oya! Baba Shango came to reassure me 🧡

Thank you my Goddess MOTHER Oya. You are a strength, and a protection upon my life. When the enemies, come after me. You are the shield and defender of my soul. I am grateful, to the gatekeeper for releasing judgement upon my enemies. Your love, and protection will continue to be upon me. Ase'
@@meccaglenwood5915 To honor Oya: Oya loves shea butter, so have some on your altar when connecting with her energy. (If you're making an alter.) Her colors are deep reds, burgundy, purple, brown, and copper. She appreciates the scents of sandalwood and patchouli so be sure to burn the incense. She loves red wine and her favorite number is 9. I did a plate of kenwa with seasoned & cooked eggplants 9 pieces and some wine. I asked that she watches over my family and protects us from all harm. I thanked the Ansestors for the sacrifices they made and asked her to guide me. Called on the names that I know like (Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey, MLK, Malcom X) these are the ones that came before us. The ones that paved the way and ask for knowledge and understanding from them the way to go. It's an in the moment thing when you get to a certain point, but just listen to spirit. You can also research Oya songs and play that during your offering as well. You can also pour libation for her as well to honor oya and the changes she'll make in your life.
ASEEEEEE! This reaches the deepest of my soul evey time. I had no knowledge about Orishas/Yoruba but somehow i "found" her...no...I am not that great...she found me... after losing my Father and my marriage. She has been so present. I am full of gratitude and praise. Thank you Oya for keeping watch and pushing me forward and blowing the winds of change in my life. I cannot give enough thanks. Even my altar feels unworthy. But I praise and give worship daily to accept my continued blessings. ASE! Thank you!!!!

Yes brother Nathaniel the Spirit ascended from the Orun down too the hosts Ori (headquarters)the Spirit is Great and powerful as the Spirit think so the body is made that is the mystery,as our little Spirit gift think as long as it is within reason we create what ever we think, the Culural African teachings when we know it yes we are lifted and able too rise in the same way looking at life the way the first of our hue-ancestors did when the Earth was new fresh and clean.Keep sharing!
To the people who say "learn Yoruba" to the ones asking for a translation: I want to! Music and stories is how I learn and I'm eager to! Please extend your hand brother or sister 🙏 I have been looking for MONTHS for the lyrics and translation but I cannot find anything 😢
I wear a green malachite and a black Kenyan wife bracelet on my left wrist in honor of Ogun and a chakra rainbow bracelet on my right in honor of Oya! It broke when I was having a emotional Week.
When my niece was 5 or 6, she made a calendar for me, and one for my mom. Mine had the thunderbolt in front. When she started making both calendars, she already stated clear, that she would do sth. that fits our both personaltities. When I heard the first oya songs and read what she stands for, I remembered my awesome niece and knew, oya would become my favorite orisha and give me the most inspiration and kind of energy, that fits me and leads me.
Good day may oya richly bless me and my family greeting to my great grand and to my great great grand children nay oya bless keep everyone brothers sisters amen amen

Why is it that when asked about uploading any lyrics that have to do with ANY Orisha worship no one uploads the lyrics? If we are to worship and sing with conviction how can we do that if we cannot even with pride explain to someone who doesn't know the language what we sing? I can pronounce it all correctly and sing it but i have no idea what i am saying and i cannot with pride explain what i sing to anyone that hears me sing and is touched and moved by the music or the song? Instead i have to lower my head and say I do not know what I am saying. I can feel it deep in my bones but cannot believe the selfishness still in this world that keeps such things to themselves. Orunmila never stated in any of his Odus to keep such knowledge. I Praise and Respect Orunmila, Olódùmarè ,Olofi, Ela and all the Orishas and Egun but wow it it such a shame no one shares. It easily shows me why the land where it comes from continues to be in the state it is in. This is not an attack to anyone just a fact. So if you take it personally before writing back i suggest you check you ego but if you decide to begin to share the lyrics then may Olódùmarè bless you.
