Loved this movie. If you’re wanting to get into TMNT past this movie there are lots of great places to start. I think for me the best pieces of media are the 1990 movie, the 2003 cartoon, the 2011 comicbook by IDW, and the 2012 cartoon.
Great review Brandon, now I'm looking forward to watching it. Also I noticed that your rant from 5:37 to 6:07 is similar to the exchange we had on your out of theater reaction in the comments. If that's not a coincidence then I'm honored to have our chat professionally adapted!
been a fan since 1987 and have consumed almost everything TMNT media, in my opinion the best is the original movie from 1990 and the IDW Publishing comic series (2011-present) - The IDW comics combine elements and characters from all earlier incarnations in a supercool way! Also The Last Ronin comic is phenomenal, but will hit harder if you have read and watched a few other incarnations first :)
Definitely dug this one. Was never a huge TMNT fan outside of the old school video games (which I loved), but this one did it for me. You can tell everyone involved was a huge fan first and foremoat. I'm drinking the ooze on this one. Great review, Brando!
I grew up with the Turtles. From the 80s cartoon, to the action figures, and into the 90s movies + all the reboots & interpretations we've gotten. I really enjoyed this one! Definitely one of the best versions in terms of the teenage-aspect of the turtles & their chemistry together. Great review!
Glad you liked it. I’m just not interested in this version of the turtles. I use to watch the old turtles back in the 90s but, I can see this doing well.
I love the Ninja Turtles, I grew up with the reboots, but TMNT has a lot of great written comics, cartoons & movies, but it’s nice to see everything TMNT, so you know what ones you gravitate towards.
@@BrandoCritic I think that I would recommend the 1987 series, but you don’t need to watch all 10 seasons, then the original trilogy of movies, the 2003 series, the 2007 movie, 2012 series and my favourite version is the 2014 and 2016 movies.
@@BrandoCritic I know I tried to condense it, because I didn’t want to give you everything, I just gave you the ones that are the most iconic and loved version of the turtles.
Brandon you gotta watch the first TMNT movie from 1990 it's really dark and not much humor and really cool action and story. Great review of this latest TMNT movie I'd like to see this
Def watch the first TMNT movie, and if you like it def play the classic beat em up arcade games. The Comics is a deep hole but The Last Ronin might be a must for Toytle fans.
These versions of the turtles were drastically different from the ones I grew up with, but in that way I think they were adapted and updated very well for this world and generation. The movie was also just super cute, endearing, and fun! I had a good time with it.
I would high key recommend you check out the 2003 show, 2007 movie, 1990 movie and definitely check out the last ronin comic, plus the new shredders revenge game. As for Mutant Mayhem I thought it was a 6/10 could be a 7 if i see it again but it was entertaining just some things didnt feel right and idk i feel like the third act fell flat after superfly turns into a huge Godzilla monster plus the villains just disappointed to be honest
What do YOU guys think of TMNT?!?
Loved this movie.

Haha I wouldn’t call that a “rant” 😂😂
@@BrandoCritic I guess "tangent" is more fitting lol

Thanks for the review Brandon! Not a die hard TMNT fan but I will watch it when it comes out. I really love the animation in this film! 😊

I'm a 90s kid and I'm excited!
Me too!
Original 1990 movie is the best.
Awesome!

Gotcha. Well, if you check it out, hope you bring your family and they like it too!
Oh yeah Turtles are freaking back Baby 🐢👊😎!!!!!!!
