@@SparkyMan12 It's weird they do that because literally the only content you would want or NEED to use food in, you can't...the game even teaches you the importance of food and that food is powerful so you would want to use it. It would be like the game teaching you about dodging and stamina mechanics then saying "you can't do that here" for no reason other then to purposely nerf the player.
I came into genshin pretty blind and just figured everything out by myself (took me ages to get to higher adventure ranks) i didnt know what a main artifact stat was until like ar 40 or smth And at ar 53 i relised that my builds were trash Atleast i had a fun time of retrying everything 1736362 times until i finally succeeded

Bro I'm AR50 rn and I'm pretty sure I only stopped making absolute trash teams at AR48, before that I used diluc sarah bennett fischl for a while, all level 50 bc I hated farming. What's even worse were my artifacts when I finally understood what they were only very recently, so, to get an idea of just how bad I was at choosing artifacts for the majority of the game, lemme tell you some of my choices I made. Healing bonus for diluc, flat sub-stats only Geo dmg bonus for bennett, flat hp flat atk EM electro dmg bonus on fischl...which seems alright but at this point I never levelled artifacts beyond 4 and I had pure flat sub-stats. And that's only the ones I remember using on my team at the time, just imagine all the characters I levelled and sometimes used as well but never ended up changing artifacts for-
I'm not really sure if there is a solution for that.... every 20 days there is a release with a new quest or activity. They can't really release new regions that much faster since it takes time to develop
ah yes he totally have too much time leftover from not having end game content to do this and not that it takes about an hour only to do this. Even if you have a fulltime job you can find time to do this. these types of comments are starting to look less about a cry for content and rather a cry to be enslaved 24/7 by mihoyo to play genshin.
No matter what they do, Genshin players are never satisfied, so what's the point of even trying if players will still whine no matter what they do? Most players like to rush through content anyway. Just play another game if you're bored.
When I started playing Genshin I had no clue on how critical hits worked. I Just built my characters with as high attack as I possibly could. But I would never crit because I did not realize how important crits were. I feel like such a fool and looking back at all the crit artifacts I threw away because I was focusing on atk mainstats. 😭
It gets easier as time goes by, as you build your characters, and as you get more characters that you liked. My Sacred Sakura was at 18 for the longesg time, I avoided Inazuma like plague, but after I rolled my favorite character (in this case it's Eula), the Inazuma exploration becomes less annoying. There are some world quests in Inazuma that you absolutely need to do to remove the annoying electro energy thingy in Tatarasuna so I suggest you'd do that.
I still dont get to this day why Genshin places such an emphasis on food and the crafting of food when the only content you would WANT to use food in you can't. Would it really break Abyss to let us use food? Even if we could only use it for like ONE chamber per floor, FINE. I'd clear abyss 12 3 separate times if it meant I got to 36 star it. At least then I'd have a use for the 200 adeptus temptation I have on hand and the literal hundreds of thousands of ingredients I just have sitting in my inventory. The game even makes a joke about us carrying around a massive amount of cabbage and mint, I wouldn't have so much if I could use it on something meaningful.
I usually only use my exploration team in the open world with xiao as the sole DPS and sweet madames as healer. So I guess cooking still has some use for me.
@@youravghuman5231 I don't think he's talking about failing abyss but how food is useless in the overworld. The abyss is really the only place where you can take, to a certain extent, a lot of damage and they just want to waste their food on something meaningful.
tbh when i first started playing, i didnt looked for the team combo, i just used my favorite characters edit: im literally gonna replace xiao with venti once i get him, like, mf xiao

Not me trying to get auto-cook on every recipe I could get my hands on as soon as I learned I could cook 😆😆 Also, getting level 50 on the Sakura tree was REALLY underwhelming. Once you get it, you’ll need even more electro sigils to buy the things in the shop.

What's amazing is that I have never searched team comps and like what artifacts to use I only searched for how to deafeat bosses and walkthroughs for domains
I have never used a beginners guide, When I first start a new game that I have never played before you know what I do...I play the damn game...I dont look for help unless I get stuck and cant figure it out on my own. Following a guide from the beginning without experiencing the actual game for yourself is like you are playing their version of the game. So its like they are playing again through you.
If you actually look at the guide from a beginner's perspective it's stupid.. "Best team comp" is National, which as a beginner is not really buildable (Xiangling is the only guaranteed character. Depending on when you start, getting Xingqiu/Chongyun/Bennett might be difficult) and a lot of the "on what should you focus" tips are a bit dumb. You don't need to waste resin on mora and exp books until you've pretty much finished all quest content (and explored most of the map) But banger video though :D
I didn't get Chongyun or Bennett on my main until I was somewhere between AR50 and 55. I got Xingqiu pretty early on. But on my AR45 alt acc I still haven't got Xingqiu or Bennett, only Chongyun.

When I was new to Genshin, I used to think resin always needs to be higher than 160, because I misheard something in a youtube short. That's how approximately 15+ condensed resin ended up being wasted.
I started the game 2 weeks ago and let me give you some feedback coming from the heart about following a beginner's guide. DON'T. Just... DON'T. I have only one character at lv.60 all the rest are 40 and i'm against lv.60-80 enemies. Some take half an hour to take down since i don't have a huge variety of characters (and i DID spend a good amount of cash in rolls), not to mention that i have no way to level up EVERYONE nor did i roll any good weapons. I constantly get messages about participating on events but I CAN'T cause you need to have done specific quests before you can participate but those quests are themselves locked behind other quests if you have initiated them and my world level is going up before i can even get the chance to reach inazuma and get the ascension materials for my rolled characters... Well long story short. Absolute priority... do the story quests. The rest will come naturally, when they ask you to raise your AR.
… you started playing two weeks ago, and already spent “a good amount of cash”? damn At this point if you haven’t reach Inazuma it’s normal and probably a good thing you don’t have a lot of characters (less ways for you to spread resources, ideally you should focus on only 4 characters for now), and it shouldn’t prevent you from playing. I didn’t do gacha at all until near the end of Inazuma, traveler Amber Kaeya Barbara (and the occasional Lisa) carried me fine before that. When, around AR 35-45, I started to feel like the WL were getting higher quicker than I could follow, I started following the “genshin impact build order priority” guide on r/genshinImpactTips, which worked fine in getting me to a point where I felt strong enough to be comfortable in overworld. I agree on focusing on the story first, but not because it’s “clever” or whatever. Just because I feel like it’s how the game was intended to be played and it makes for a better experience. Events are meant for people who are done with the non repeatable content, and I feel like a lot of players ruin their experience focusing so much on the end they even skip through the journey. Not caring for the resin, for the events, for the gacha, for the primos made me that much more invested in the story that was told to me, because my mind was on the story and the story alone. You will have time to do event and resin and shit later once everything else runs dry, but for now to quote a certain character you may or may not have met yet - “every journey has its final day, don’t rush”.
I was considered a whale in another gatcha game (Action Taimanin) but i decided to quit it for... reasons i won't bore you with. My company gains enough and i'm single so i don't mind spending cash for my entertainment. I was recommended by many Genshin so i said... "why not". I'm used to gacha so i did pull out my cc... but i didn't expect that 500 euro (alongside the initial mass primogens/wishes gifts) would hardly get me 4x five star units and according to the "pity guide" i'm even lucky... let's not talk about how i rolled like 20 times the same rock star grill that after testing her once i decided to perma bench her... Now having oulled Raiden and wanting to play her was good and all, but according to the guides exploration is a good thing and i did that... only to realize that constantly finding chests and solving riddles massively increased my AR to the point that the world was moving faster than me... That plus all events are locked till you have not only the right AR, but ALSO you have gotten pass a specific point in the story. Problem is that my exploration resulted in many quests activating and even if i let them there for later, i was constantly getting a message when reaching a specific point in the story quest, saying that i had to finish some of my activated side quests before i was allowed to move forth. At the end i got pissed off and decided to speed run the quest till i got to Inazuma, only to find out that once reaching Inazuma you are locked in the area till you do some more quests and then some more again and only after that i FINALLY got permission to go look for that Thunder Manifestation.. to find out in turn that you are not allowed inside that area till you have done another specific quest further down the way... Ok i lost my cool at that point and benched raiden and her 20 points of damage... Looking back i should have done exactly what you did. Use the free characters to progress and adapt along the way.
@@outsiderd Honestly quite relatable, I was in a similiar situation myself. Genshin locks a lot of content that you NEED behind quests in the worst ways possible. I started the game not too long ago, and by luck I managed to pull ayaka, the thing is all her ascension materials are locked in inazuma, so I had to speed run to get to the place, making the whole process not enjoyable and fun. And that's when you realize due to some exploration you did your world level is way too high for your current party, and you can't beat the boss in order to make your character stronger, that's so messed up, you're just trapped in an endless loop trying to just level your characters. Fortunately, I have a group of friends who carried me on the game and helped me get my characters up, and if they're off you can always ask people for carry in the official discord server. Btw, off topic here, how's your account doing now? Got any new characters that you enjoy or have you tried building characters that you benched earlier on?
AR 55. Days Active 96 The benched are benched. I still need to get good artifacts for a single character so i'm focusing on the two abyss clearing teams. Raiden and Ayaka are my mains. Yelan added herself in the mix now, so national team with raiden on one side, ayaka, yelan +2 (rosaria that needs to become a diona when available + jean). Since i have no crit dmg + crit rate artifacts only these 2 can do damage anyway and clear abyss or bosses. Resin needed for artifacts, for talents, for weapons, for levels, for money... That part sucks. Can't build anyone else yet. 0 variety.
morgana works in that you apply cryo first, use monas ult to freeze and therefore you retain the mona-ult on the enemy -> you get bonus damage as long as its frozen and the bubble hasnt popped
Respectfully; you are incorrect. New player don't just rely on what other people's say... the can experience themselves, what to do, or do not. The game is not that hard, if you can read (i'll hope most player can) they can figure it out what Teyvat, and it's peoples are can do.
I'm still confused about the National Team (Chongyun version) honestly. I'm more familiar with Sucrose version of National Team though. It says that Xiangling is the main DPS, but not specific which, onfield/off field DPS. I always think Chongyun is the main DPS (on-field) in the National Team, and Xiangling will be the main on-field if Bennett is C6 since Xiangling's Normal Attack would deal more damage with C6 Bennett rather than Chongyun Cryo Infusion. But as off-field DPS Xingqiu deals more moment of damage but Xiangling deals higher so arguable which is which.
If you describe it in another way, Xiangling is the carry, with everyone else designed to support her. The whole point is to hyper buff her pyronado and do a lot of aoe reactions on the field. But any of the characters can literally be on field doing physical damage or reapplying elements while the pyronado is doing its job.
Also make sure you can actually level up the characters you decide to use. Beidou is probably the nicest 4* for f2p because she is new but only needs liyue and electro hypo mats.

My team composition currently consists of Collei to apply Dendro, Barbara to apply Hydro, Arlecchino to turn the bloom into burgeon, and Chiori for some spice. I don’t know how to do team competitions and I’m planning on replacing Collei with Freminet.
I would recommed xangling,yaoyao,fishil and keaya. Three sponners and one self heal elemental skill Cus in my second server in archon quest i beat dvalin with lvl 40 yaoyao and lvl 25 keaya xangling and fishil(also my yaoyao and maybe keaya had 4 star weapon) also used trial venti to break sheild

Honestly i never used a beginner guide. I just made a team of character who looked pretty since i got 6 characters on my first ten pull (benett, sucrose, fischl , barbara , beidou , noelle) and made them good. I joined during 3.8 event so i got many primos and the most pretty and precious character in-game layla.
saw a break down the other day. Thats Diona build IS valid but it was literally marked "ONLY if you dont have anything better". 4xNobless and even 4xMaidens is way better than 2xMaidens/2Piece Millilith. The shield strength from Millilith doesnt carry over when you switch character so its completely useless unless you plan to have Diona on field.

It still puzzles me to this day why Genshin is the only game where having buffs is the most shameful act you can do.
I use a ton of buffs just to get done with domain quicker...
Or defense buffs in co-op just in case our healer fails
Abyss can't use the buffs so its annoying seeing big pp damage while triple fooded since its not a realistic depiction of a characters ability

I have never used a beginners guide, When I first start a new game that I have never played before you know what I do...I play the damn game...I dont look for help unless I get stuck and cant figure it out on my own. Following a guide from the beginning without experiencing the actual game for yourself is like you are playing their version of the game. So its like they are playing again through you.
If you actually look at the guide from a beginner's perspective it's stupid..
"Best team comp" is National, which as a beginner is not really buildable (Xiangling is the only guaranteed character. Depending on when you start, getting Xingqiu/Chongyun/Bennett might be difficult)
and a lot of the "on what should you focus" tips are a bit dumb. You don't need to waste resin on mora and exp books until you've pretty much finished all quest content (and explored most of the map)

I didn't get Chongyun or Bennett on my main until I was somewhere between AR50 and 55. I got Xingqiu pretty early on. But on my AR45 alt acc I still haven't got Xingqiu or Bennett, only Chongyun.

I reserved most of my shrines of depths keys back then to open them when my world level got higher cuz i though they would contain more. Im not sure if it worked tho cus i have nothing to compare it to lmao

When I was new to Genshin, I used to think resin always needs to be higher than 160, because I misheard something in a youtube short. That's how approximately 15+ condensed resin ended up being wasted.
I started the game 2 weeks ago and let me give you some feedback coming from the heart about following a beginner's guide.
DON'T.
Just... DON'T.
I have only one character at lv.60 all the rest are 40 and i'm against lv.60-80 enemies. Some take half an hour to take down since i don't have a huge variety of characters (and i DID spend a good amount of cash in rolls), not to mention that i have no way to level up EVERYONE nor did i roll any good weapons.
I constantly get messages about participating on events but I CAN'T cause you need to have done specific quests before you can participate but those quests are themselves locked behind other quests if you have initiated them and my world level is going up before i can even get the chance to reach inazuma and get the ascension materials for my rolled characters...
Well long story short. Absolute priority... do the story quests. The rest will come naturally, when they ask you to raise your AR.

At this point if you haven’t reach Inazuma it’s normal and probably a good thing you don’t have a lot of characters (less ways for you to spread resources, ideally you should focus on only 4 characters for now), and it shouldn’t prevent you from playing. I didn’t do gacha at all until near the end of Inazuma, traveler Amber Kaeya Barbara (and the occasional Lisa) carried me fine before that. When, around AR 35-45, I started to feel like the WL were getting higher quicker than I could follow, I started following the “genshin impact build order priority” guide on r/genshinImpactTips, which worked fine in getting me to a point where I felt strong enough to be comfortable in overworld.
I agree on focusing on the story first, but not because it’s “clever” or whatever. Just because I feel like it’s how the game was intended to be played and it makes for a better experience. Events are meant for people who are done with the non repeatable content, and I feel like a lot of players ruin their experience focusing so much on the end they even skip through the journey. Not caring for the resin, for the events, for the gacha, for the primos made me that much more invested in the story that was told to me, because my mind was on the story and the story alone. You will have time to do event and resin and shit later once everything else runs dry, but for now to quote a certain character you may or may not have met yet - “every journey has its final day, don’t rush”.
I was considered a whale in another gatcha game (Action Taimanin) but i decided to quit it for... reasons i won't bore you with.
My company gains enough and i'm single so i don't mind spending cash for my entertainment.
I was recommended by many Genshin so i said... "why not".
I'm used to gacha so i did pull out my cc... but i didn't expect that 500 euro (alongside the initial mass primogens/wishes gifts) would hardly get me 4x five star units and according to the "pity guide" i'm even lucky... let's not talk about how i rolled like 20 times the same rock star grill that after testing her once i decided to perma bench her...
Now having oulled Raiden and wanting to play her was good and all, but according to the guides exploration is a good thing and i did that... only to realize that constantly finding chests and solving riddles massively increased my AR to the point that the world was moving faster than me...
That plus all events are locked till you have not only the right AR, but ALSO you have gotten pass a specific point in the story.
Problem is that my exploration resulted in many quests activating and even if i let them there for later, i was constantly getting a message when reaching a specific point in the story quest, saying that i had to finish some of my activated side quests before i was allowed to move forth.
At the end i got pissed off and decided to speed run the quest till i got to Inazuma, only to find out that once reaching Inazuma you are locked in the area till you do some more quests and then some more again and only after that i FINALLY got permission to go look for that Thunder Manifestation.. to find out in turn that you are not allowed inside that area till you have done another specific quest further down the way...
Ok i lost my cool at that point and benched raiden and her 20 points of damage...
Looking back i should have done exactly what you did. Use the free characters to progress and adapt along the way.
@@outsiderd Honestly quite relatable, I was in a similiar situation myself. Genshin locks a lot of content that you NEED behind quests in the worst ways possible. I started the game not too long ago, and by luck I managed to pull ayaka, the thing is all her ascension materials are locked in inazuma, so I had to speed run to get to the place, making the whole process not enjoyable and fun. And that's when you realize due to some exploration you did your world level is way too high for your current party, and you can't beat the boss in order to make your character stronger, that's so messed up, you're just trapped in an endless loop trying to just level your characters. Fortunately, I have a group of friends who carried me on the game and helped me get my characters up, and if they're off you can always ask people for carry in the official discord server.

Raiden and Ayaka are my mains. Yelan added herself in the mix now, so national team with raiden on one side, ayaka, yelan +2 (rosaria that needs to become a diona when available + jean).
Since i have no crit dmg + crit rate artifacts only these 2 can do damage anyway and clear abyss or bosses.
Resin needed for artifacts, for talents, for weapons, for levels, for money... That part sucks. Can't build anyone else yet. 0 variety.

Respectfully; you are incorrect. New player don't just rely on what other people's say... the can experience themselves, what to do, or do not. The game is not that hard, if you can read (i'll hope most player can) they can figure it out what Teyvat, and it's peoples are can do.

I'm still confused about the National Team (Chongyun version) honestly. I'm more familiar with Sucrose version of National Team though. It says that Xiangling is the main DPS, but not specific which, onfield/off field DPS. I always think Chongyun is the main DPS (on-field) in the National Team, and Xiangling will be the main on-field if Bennett is C6 since Xiangling's Normal Attack would deal more damage with C6 Bennett rather than Chongyun Cryo Infusion. But as off-field DPS Xingqiu deals more moment of damage but Xiangling deals higher so arguable which is which.
If you describe it in another way, Xiangling is the carry, with everyone else designed to support her. The whole point is to hyper buff her pyronado and do a lot of aoe reactions on the field. But any of the characters can literally be on field doing physical damage or reapplying elements while the pyronado is doing its job.
Also make sure you can actually level up the characters you decide to use. Beidou is probably the nicest 4* for f2p because she is new but only needs liyue and electro hypo mats.

My team composition currently consists of Collei to apply Dendro, Barbara to apply Hydro, Arlecchino to turn the bloom into burgeon, and Chiori for some spice. I don’t know how to do team competitions and I’m planning on replacing Collei with Freminet.

Cus in my second server in archon quest i beat dvalin with lvl 40 yaoyao and lvl 25 keaya xangling and fishil(also my yaoyao and maybe keaya had 4 star weapon) also used trial venti to break sheild

The thing with team composition is that newbie will try to use that team for everything including exploring map.. and artifact part doesn’t tell which stat to focus. Using masterless stardust for exp is such an oOF pain..

Honestly i never used a beginner guide. I just made a team of character who looked pretty since i got 6 characters on my first ten pull (benett, sucrose, fischl , barbara , beidou , noelle) and made them good. I joined during 3.8 event so i got many primos and the most pretty and precious character in-game layla.

4xNobless and even 4xMaidens is way better than 2xMaidens/2Piece Millilith.
The shield strength from Millilith doesnt carry over when you switch character so its completely useless unless you plan to have Diona on field.
