After watching her documentary about her autism and speaking to girl and women. Has made me realise that I also may have it too. I can relate to what she’s said about being uncomfortable in social situations in making friends and relationships. She helped me realise that all the things I’ve struggled with my whole life was that. She my inspiration

I love this. I can relate to Christine. I’m 47 now but in recent years I realise I have autism. I’ve always got on fine because I’ve been able to mask it and didn’t realise this when younger. Now I have a child who’s diagnosed and family members diagnosed, I know more than ever. Listening to Christine is so relatable. Thank you.

Great work Christine, keep shining a light for autistic women and kids. So many comments here from people who either don’t have a clue or are super negative!

I have got autism aswel and I was expecting my first baby when giving birth to my daughter in hospital the midwives criticised me and got the social services involved to think I won’t be meeting my baby needs when I was pregnant with her. After the birth of my baby they put me in a mother and baby unit with people on bad habits of drugs and alcohol. I was being patronised and been told things I know already. Also I had wearing same clothes in the mother and baby unit. There was unprofessional staff there telling the social worker I am lying. Clever how I played the recording to proof I was telling the truth. What the social worker kept using my autism against me when I had the proof of recording for her to believe me. Also after 3 months I got the council asking me. Where is all my money gone and why I not paid the rent also my family was hurt as much as me with not holding their granddaughter, niece, great granddaughter for the first time as it hurts me to think what will my daughter feel for not having a photo with my family members.
Especially with it being my first baby too.

I am a high functioning autistic woman (well they said it was Asperger's when i was a kid).
This lass seems 'normal' to many people. She probably just masking, speaking feom experience. High functioning Autism especially in women comes across a lot different, more hidden.
