Gotta love those subtle "it kinda fits but not really when you play it long enough" inclusions in some of the decks. Not sure whether Blizz added them as teaching tools or they genuinely thought those were good. Mad Scientist in Tempo Secret Mage is kind of a trap card. It seems better than Arcanologist, but in reality, the secrets get placed down when you might not want them (like Explosive Runes before a Voidcaller turn or Counterspell before the Coin is gone), get popped before you can take advantage of them (Medivh's Valet), it has wondrous anti-synergy with Cabal Crystal Runner, which often ends up costing 6 when half your secrets got yanked by scientists, and the one missing health often results in the Scientist not even getting a punch into the opponent's face before dying. Including both, on the other hand, requires such copious amount of secrets that the deck has to cut down on burn, losing finishing potency.
Mage feels a bit underpowered in this one xD although it's proactive enough that it doesn't really matter. Would have liked to see the older tempo lists come back though... My god that hand though...... tooooooo good
The only thing I learned from this tavern brawl is that Ships Cannon is super busted. Warrior on turn 3: I played Ships Cannon and N'zoths First Mate, pulling out Patches for a 3 mana 4/5 equip a 1/3 weapon deal 4 damage. Possibly more busted than Cancer Trogg?
