Audio is a ton better, Mike. Nice that the Midwest Annex is settling in.
I already miss the echo...echo...echo
Also very Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done-esque.
When I read the rulebook, I could tell just how smooth this game was going to be and it is. Even though they have little in common game play wise, Concordia is a game that comes to mind when I think about how smooth and easy this game is to understand and play. The turn angst is suburb and the variety and replayability will keep you coming back. This game is a euro-gamer’s dream!
Who's here after Mike's top 10 of 2023?
Looking forward to getting in on the next KS for this game since I been wanting to add a mancala-mechanic game in my collection
Love the design, for sure!
I love this game and Aqua Garden. The production quality that Uchibicoya puts out is absolutely fantastic!
Thanks so much for reviewing this game. It is so good and I am constantly singing it's praises. I have yet to play Trajan it seems this game is a lighter, higher production version.
Well said. We had a chance to play the game a few weeks ago and it was awesome. The only bad thing is availability and the high price point.
This game is awesome. Might be a 10 for me
Grayson's, Missy's, and my NUMBER ONE game of 2022!
Woo hoo!
Production on the deluxe edition is EPIC!!
Art is gorgeous!
The game flows so smoothly!
"Art is gorgeous" ? What game are you talking about ? Ostia ?? The art is below average and outdated.
@@a-c-m yea! turns out art is subjective! I find it very appealing! You are allowed to have a different opinion! Thanks for disagreeing with my opinion!
Uchibacoya, one of the best designer, i love playing Aquagarden
Both games are HEAVILY inspired by already existing games. The best streamliner, sure.
@@lajeitmost games are heavily influenced by other games.
@@michaeldilisio557 absolutely and that's not a bad thing. But saying somebody is one of the best designers is a very big title for such a HEAVY influence.
Great review! Mike, are you getting Atlas Lost from the same designer, Totsuka Chuo?
I backed on Kickstarter, so yes!
@@michaeldilisio557 Same! I'm really excited about that one. Hopefully it gets similar praise.
Is the box really that huge or did Mike shrink?
nice cover and artwork, beautiful design and production, okay Im preferably a eurogamer
Anyone have an idea how to get ahold of Uchibacoya games in the US?
I direct message them through KS. They always answer promptly
They’ve run Kickstarters for their last couple of games.
You can also check out Tanuki Games in Texas. They have an online store that stocks many of the Uchibacoya games and will ship.
@@michaeldilisio557 This is where I get my uchibacoya games. The owner Chris is a swell guy. He works hard at importing asian designer games.
There is another Ostia Kickstarter coming Q4 2023 or Q1 2024!
For solo only? Worth it?
I enjoyed the solo. Like Mike said in the video, interaction in this game is very minimal. So you are not losing a ton in solo.
Amphora?
How does this compare to crusaders
I haven’t played Crusaders. Sorry!
What a strange time to be having a review of this game. The Kickstarter delivered months ago, the game is unavailable anywhere, and there's barely a whisper of it being available again.
We have a lot of games to review. We can’t always get to them right away.
