Trees, like people and all other living things, have life spans also. I have a white oak out back that was here before the white man but it is nearing the end of it's life span now. I have spent the last thirty + years here tending it and fostering new trees to grow. Hopefully no one will come along after I'm gone and cut them all down.
We had 3,000,000 acres of trees, forest, and wildland burn this year. I'm wondering what you're eating dinner on tonight? Wood or plastic? I'm not for wholesale harvesting but looking at our dead forests, it would have been better to have used them for a good purpose then let them burn. I would recommending educating yourself, as trees, if harvested correctly, are a renewable resource.
I really feel like crying for the loss of these wonderful creatures, who have probably been around for years. It’s heartbreaking 😢. But I can’t help but wonder: Are we looking at things from a too emotional perspective? What if this is necessary for the survival of other species or for sustainable development? Anyway, I’m grateful that the video helped me look at this issue from a more emotional perspective.
Wow a huge stained wood table like that would be priceless. A dinner table or conference table for the super rich. If a super huge tree didn’t fall down they should let it be
I used to think that too,, still do in many circumstances,, on the other hand, thinning a forest is a way to get the young trees the ability to grow big,, in a shorter period of time,,
Worked sawmills and lumber yards in the NE, for over 20 years,, Largest board I ever piled was a Brazilian mahogany,, 33 inches wide,, a little over 20 feet long,, it took 4 of us to pile those huge boards,, it was 3 amazing loads of mahogany,, a total of 2 knots in the 3 truckloads,,, The log in the cover pic is the most beautiful tree I've ever had the pleasure of looking at,,
The greed of humanity has no boundries. We do not deserve this planet. We only know how to destroy it and its beauty and this video confirmas it. 😢 this tree must have been beautiful. 😢😢😢
It's very sad to see these huge trees cut down. Do you know what's even sadder? That drivers lack of skills! Who gave that guy a license? Who gave him a job???? Epic fail.
How can the owners of Timbereraft not require that their workers to wear dust masks. How many of those skilled workers will later die from lung cancer from inhalation of wood dusk.
I agree however unfortunately its a different country and their safety protocols are none existent. Also their rigging of the Logs are very questionable at times.
Well, I want to be kind because these guys are doing great work. Tip: Try not to bore us with endless shots of one repetitive task, please. My finger got a cramp from skipping ahead so often. This could be a great video if you cut out about 2 and 1/2 hours of repetitive stuff. Thanks for the video.

He's a good driver. He's trying to dodge power poles, not run over the foliage lining the road or the guys giving him directions, pass between to fences at the entrance while making a 90-degree turn driving in reverse. The road is too narrow at that at the front entrance. If they would clear the area and give the driver room to operate, no problem.
Well to me it looks like there's plenty of room in the yard for the truck driver to pull in forward instead of backing in the crane looks like it could be unloaded from either direction

@@billwalsh9711 as far as I know, oaks can be very old because it's some of those who grow slowly. So when people keep them alive, I appreciate it😊
