Although the buckle system may make an occasional subtle noise, I think this type of buckle is a better anti-threft protection system than any clips and magnetic systems.
A back zipper pocket would have been nice to put wallet or a passport.
I've been using this sling bag for almost a year and I feel kind of dissapointed.
- The buckle system is poor. Sometimes it unbluckes by itself depending on the angle you grab it.
- The fabric already started to breakdown.
Not a big deal but I was definetly not expecting these flaws for a $90 sling bag.

That buckle thing is definitely the elephant in the room. Could probably work its way loose too when not under the tension of being worn.
Always put your glasses in the protective case or you going to scratch your glasses, it cost more than your bag to replace your glasses
How liter size kapacity this bag??
Oh and the mask looks great but unfortunately mystery ranch does not sell to Canada so just a note I would think you have some subs that don’t live in the great country of the USA
I own the small sling bag version and I really love it ! I was also looking for a minimalist bigger version, but I really dislike this XL version : first I hate the brand sticker (too big, too bright), second I found the strap very unconvenient (jingly, flopping, unaesthetic buckle). A small padded version like the peek design daily 5 liters sling would be great. I wish the small version has also a three-part stretchy mesh pocket inside to handle a little multitool (gerber armbar, or swiss multitool for example). Thank you for the review !
Hey Fabrice, sorry for the confusion. You find the new version in black now on our website. I just send Tom the updated link so he can put it up here. We still have a few of the Castlerock Grey one with the two front loops though. Both are available at the moment but stay tuned for a big release this during the week!

Can you fit a sunglasses without a case in the bag without damaging it? Seems like there’s no room for sunglasses

This would be my holy grail sling **if** the front logo could be removed. Is this still a heat-melted logo treatment?
Hey Evin, the front logo changed quite a bit. We made it a smaller and full reflective for the new version. It's not supposed to be removed but since it is the only "big" logo we still feel it's a rather minimal branding. We hope you understand that we, as a brand, also rely on some kind of identification in the items. I hope you don't dislike the front logo too much ✌
@@moritzgrebe7894 Unfortunately the newer, brighter logo will actually prevent me from buying and wearing Heimplanet. I'm a strict "no obvious branding" guy. The quality of the goods is usually its own attraction, prompting folks to ask where they can get it. A happy medium might be a toned down version that monochromatically blends in with the color of the bag (see Bellroy's black bag tags for example). I hope you'll consider is this in the future.
@@kissiejrmusic Thanks for the honesty. I think there is truth in both statements. I'm always in the "less is more" fraction but I get the argument for a visible branding too. I'll have it in my mind for upcoming projects. Cheers
@@moritzgrebe7894 Is the logo still a large and "white" tag on the current bags being produced? Can it be removed? This is the only thing preventing me from buying it and looking at something like the Aer slings with more subtle branding instead.

I’ve had this for a week; mine (ordered thru Mukama if that matters) has the old style branding, not the white one you have. It also has 2 outside loops, not the single like yours - odd. Anyway, subjectively, I like this bigger one better than the smaller one. I keep minimal stuff in it and it wears “flat”, but like that I have room for more if needed. Zippers on this version are smoother than on the smaller version bag. Thanks for the review!
Would this fit the Nintendo Switch?
Is there a sling just like this but a touch bigger? Like 3.5L? This is almost exactly what I'm looking for, but I need just a tiny bit more room.

I don't know if you have them or not but you should really include a Nintendo Switch + an iPad mini in all of these videos. I dont personally carry around either but they are good items to show how much space is in the bag.
Edit: I ended up buying this and it does indeed fit a Nintendo Switch.

Does it fit iPad Mini 5 with a case?
Hey, I would say it's a tight fit, but it fits. With 200x135mm + case it is similar to a DinA5 notebook which I feel is stretching the max hight over the back pattern but it closes and handles just fine. Best, Moritz
Can this be an alternative for moment fanny sling? Looking for alternative to fanny sling, something that I could put my compact camera in. Moment does not have a shop in Europe so tax plus shipping costs doubles the price ... Would you recommend any alternative?
Was just on there website I only see one hole on the bottom left corner. Is this version the black colour? Does the strap shorten quite a bit I like my sling tight on my back and as far up to my head as I can. You didn’t rate this as high as the AER city sling. Maybe I will go with the AER trying to decide

Any idea of the dimension of the phone pocket right behind the glasses one? Thinking of lobbying my wife for this sling bag for christmas but before doing so need to make sure I can fit my Xiaomi Mi 11 safely in there.
Looks like a great sling but those metal brackets are a no for me. The strap is so important to me I just can’t use a bag that doesn’t have that great of buckle the strap is what makes your experience with a sling so amazing. But nice bag

My Sling bag (CURTLO Trekker) has a horizontal "elastic tube" right above the equivalent zíper compartment allowing any size of pen. Regarding the Buckle, I have replace the original one with a magnetic type (coming from a tactic belt - may be a solution for your issue).

is this a commercial for how much mumbo jumbo covid-19 protection gear you should pack and wear and have available at all times or is it a review for a sling bag? you know you could put a little pack of antibac wipes in the passport compartment instead of the passport 😅
