I want that roaster!!!
I will be looking for one,
Your explanation, and video is wonderful!
Your end result,
A Big Roaster full of Beauty and yumminess! So glad I found you, God Bless
Can't have it, took me ages to find. :)
Wow!! That looks devine!!
Made this last night. What an amazing, simple and delicious meal. I will be making it again. It wasn't too spicey for my wife and kids. approx. 5 hour roast. 13 qt Magnalite roaster. I used a trivet and did not see much difference if I did.not use one. Goes well the next day with eggs!😊
Awwwwwwsome Mud. I've never ever seen a glazed roast. Dutch oven,,, here I come. This will feed my Football watching group in 2 weeks. I love that roaster. I changed my mind. You SCORED BIGG TIME!!! Well worth EVERY DIME. Congrats. I clown but heard instructions, USE MY TRIVET. Thank you.
Couldn't stand it...had to make it! Tomorrow I'll take the big ($1.77 lb/8# - 1/16/22) pork butt out of the 4-wheel frig. (truck) 30 Degrees out there and it is enjoying the back seat til morning. Dutchy waiting on the range. Can't wait! Only change...sweet tatters instead of spuds - had lots on hand. Might add an onion or two - chunked up. If I get a wild hair, I might throw in a can of pineapple chunks or just apple chunks towards the end. I have watched this twice, Mudbrooker, great video and it hooked me good. Do really enjoy your content since I love my wood cook stoves and piles of beloved cast iron. You might try the roast with sweet potatoes and thicken the juice with a little cornstarch instead of flour. Cornstarch makes a light 'gravy' that does not muffle the flavor of a light sauce. Cheers!
May be trying this for thanksgiving since no one here really likes turkey. (except for smoked turkey legs and wings!).
Wonderful recipe (plenty for leftover hot pork sandwiches). The roaster is a beauty. Lifting that every day kept grandma fit as a fiddle!
Granny gonna knock you out!!
I don't know which I drooled more over, your wood cooking stove in the background or that luscious looking meal! Thanks for sharing your recipe, I can't wait to make this!
Always best to relax and lubricate with a wee dram of booze to begin things right :)
There is barbecue in my home town that is always dry. I don't know how they do it so consistently! A genuine thank you for the cast iron education.
Thanks for posting the link, Evidently I've watched this before but I do tend to knock back a few on Wednesday's
Lisa recommend that we check you out o my word seriously that's is a meal fit for a few people would like to have a big roster like this one but i just have a medial one with a rack in the bottom i definitely will keep my eye out for a few i think that would be very good to have would probably get a few great meals out of this
That sear though! LOL I love that sizzle!! I like leather meat, sorry not sorry HAHAHA
I will admit, I love porkchops fried nearly to death.
should you wash your hands after handling pork, the same with chicken, before touching anything else in the kitchen?
Depends on temp of hands.😁
Beef is crazy here! I just went to the store yesterday and it was over $6 a pound eeeek!
Beef has been high around here too, but not as bad as some areas. Roasts and ground beef are down, not quite back to normal, but down. Steaks and popular grilling cuts should come down as summer winds up.
Sauerbraten! 2021
I make a mean sauerbraten.
Recipes please and demo!

Ok, I dont eat pork, but this makes me want too LOL What perfection!
You have a great narration voice!
Thank you.
Holy smokes. That was some meal. The glaze was what put it over the top for us. This is definitely a keeper for our recipe book. Thank you sir!
Listening to this while driving and I swear when you started plating I must have drove past a restaurant cause my car filled with a roast/stew aroma
Have enjoyed your teaching techniques, you seem to explain every action, very delightful. It seems you had a little brown and white stalker licking its lips, anxiously waiting 🐶
He doesn't get too far away when I'm cooking.
My mouth is watering! I look forward to trying out both the roast and the glaze, thank you for the recipe. That cast iron #3 roaster really is something special. Best of luck to you Mudbrooker. Enjoy
I'm tickled to death to have found it
That looks delicious! 😋 That roaster even looked super heavy when filled up. What size turkey do you think would fit? Enjoyed the video. 😃
I would think it would take a 16-18 pounder no problem, maybe bigger.
