Brian, greetings from Mexico City. I've been a subscriber to your channel for years, but it's the first or second time I've written to you. I love your equipment reviews and I think this knife is one of the best pieces you've ever presented. Watching your videos I learn knives and practice my English a lot, by the way, an apology if I made mistakes, but I am not a natural English speaker and I try not to use the translator. Thank you for your work, you are great.
I would consider getting that but, the sheath doesn't have a clip. I would like to be able to wear it inside the pocket so if it had a pocket clip that would be great. I don't usually wear a belt. They make too many belt holsters for fixed blades. They need to start making pocket clips on the holster. Or sheath whatever you want to call it.
The Mora Eldris got me into smaller fixed blades. Recently acquired a Gerber Vertebrata and a BPS Mushroom Knife and have had a Outdoor Edge Le Duck for sometime, all of these knives are bout the same size as the one in your video. All good little fixed blades. Have to check this little knife out.
@Hin Håle I use mine for random run of the mill chores and it does stellar on those, I use it a lot for yard work or when I'm fishing as well. Great little blade.
The Italians have made a Sgian-dubh :) Little knives have their place in knife fighting. I remember when I was a kid meeting the late Sonny Barger and several of his pals. Barger and a bunch of them were carrying Old Timer Sharp Fingers. This was back when they were still USA Made Knives.
Love your lab man lol give a check on the joker knives from spain they have some nice stuff i edc their joker rabbit fixed blade also the arrui 10 cm great knives. Aniway awesome video...love sharp saturdays.
Have five minutes 44 seconds into the video, my personal opinion, whoever says that they sharpened that knife needs to take lessons from me lol. I can get a butter knife more Sharp then that.
I don’t know man. Thank you for the review. As for the knife? Way too expensive for what is on display here. The sheath is done well, but ANY brand new knife, should glide through paper, right out of the box. That’s why a lot of people don’t like the paper test, because it quickly and clearly demonstrates a honed edge, or lack thereof.
Looks like a Baby Becker, the sheath looks well designed and making the edge sharp is an easy fix. However, there are other knives like the Becker Remora and Mora Eldris, which are their competition. It certainly looks better than these two, but that is up to the person buying it what one they like better. I enjoy your seeing your opinions and watching your channel. 🤔🙂
Mora eldris is not a competition, cmon. I have both. Eldris is half the thickness, with worse steel and HT. the only pro that the eldris has over the WT is that it is easier to sharpen, but everything else the WT wins with ease. The only competition would be an izula2 or an hornero from tops, but even there US loses to Italy since this knife has better HT, better steel and better geometry (it cuts WAAAAY better than the izula2, it cuts as good as the hornero). Again, have them all so it’s factual. The only things where they could compete is aesthetics tbh, but even there this is an handmade Italian product against an industrial production from US. I’d say that even there with finishing and materials Italy wins. My 2c.
@@gizmocarr3093 no worries! WT is in a league of its own. Is it perfect? Far from it. WT is still a startup. They do mess up from time to time but if they do they will fix it. That’s my experience with them. It’s like early bark river. I love the eldris, but I would never abuse it since it would destroy the edge completely. Here you can abuse it (because of both width and blade material/treatment)
It seems like a good design and a good execution of that design but , if I'm going to pay over $100 for a knife , I expect not to have to touch up the edge right out of the box. Enjoyed your video , as always . Like your down to earth , no 🐃💩 kind of style . 👍😎🇺🇸🇺🇦
This looks like a really good knife. I liked it on site but also was immediately thinking, "where have I seen this knife before?" The longer I watched the video the more convinced I was that I'd seen this knife before but I also knew that I hadn't seen "this" knife before. Then it hit me, so I reached into my pocket and pulled out my favorite EDC knife... go ahead and laugh knife snobs but it is what it is... one of my SCHF16's (that I learned about on this channel by the way, thanks Bryan!). Now it's not an exact match or anything but... take a look at them side by side and you'll see that they're very similar in design. The 16 being a Volkswagon version of this Cadillac knife of course. Very nice, I want one, not knocking this knife at all folks.
I wouldn’t go that far. It did great on the curls. But it could be sharper. Of course, there is an argument to be made that the more like a razor the edge is, the more fragile and the quicker it gets dull.
It’s a working blade tho. Has a scandivex grind with a 5mm profile. It doesn’t have to shave. It has to have good edge retention, thoughness and wear resistance. That’s what you want from a working blade like this in my opinion.
The website does not even show the blade steel in the specifications. How can anyone buy a knife without that information?. I think these are low quality knives and anyone looking for a true EDC should look elseware.
I am not sure what bearing the website has on the quality of a knife, but there is an FAQ page on the site that clearly says ALL their knives are D2 steel cryogenically-heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of 59-61 with Micarta handles. Lie I said, this is a small company and these guys are outdoor adventure types, not tech geeks. Or even "businessmen". Bottom line, these are very good knives designed by and for people who actually use knives. Thanks for watching.
What’s funny is I know a lot of the guys at tops knives and I am pretty sure they would tell you that Wander tactical makes good knives too. Just like Alex and the folks at Wander Tactical would tell you tops makes good knives. And I’m pretty sure neither would call the other A “cheap cash grab”.

I can't stand when the hilt (right name for the metal at the beginning of the blade? maybe the bolster?) is proud of the blade's edge
Love this knife. Bought it on sight. Great compact piece of kit.
I like your knife testing lab facility.

That sounds like a perfect opportunity to use an UltiClip Slim amzn.to/3C77o6k
For $117 it should come properly sharpened. Nice little knife though!
I need that! Looks so great. I met Wander Tactical (Alex) at the 2022 Pathfinder Gathering this year. Awesome dude!
A quick glide on a ceramic rod, and the edge would be fine. It’s small like my Eldris. Nice far 🔥…..😉😘

Looks like it would be a nice upgrade for my mora Eldris, a knife I’ve really enjoyed using.

looks like the "Bushmaster Survival" knife, and a quarter of the price

It’s not just about cutting, bigger knives have more reach too, but it’s true, nobody likes paper cuts either. 😂
Interested to see some Dawson Precision on the channel if you get the opportunity.

Looks like an Eldris if made by Esse.
Looks like a great knife for skinning a moose

Sharpness out of the box sucks

Too bad it's D2
My body chemistry will rust it up right quick
nice knife :) I like Italian food :)

@@SurvivalOnPurpose The steel type should be in the specifications section. But D2 is a good steel but a little hard to sharpen.
Tops knives is better and cheaper than this quick cash grab these knives are made for. So buy Top Knives better quality all day and save money
