I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above, Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price, The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice. And there's another country, I've heard of long ago, Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know; We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.
ALL glory, honor and praises be unto You, O Lord!!! Keep singing your sacrifices of praise to Him, young lady. God has "entrusted" you with this talent, now give it back to Him over and over and over. And to your parents I would like to say, "thank you for training your daughter in the way that she should go. Thank you for sharing her with the world." Cynthia from state of NJ in USA
This is a variation from a portion of Holst's "The Planets", specifically 'Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity'. You might not know this if you're not a fan of classical music. Hey... if you're the composer of one of the greatest musical works of the 20th Century, I suppose it's Ok to plagiarize your own music. Bottom line is that it's lovely. These folks at CCB do amazing recordings and I adore them. ❤❤
A blessed "selah" (break) during the meditation of the Psalms or cap to the end of the day. Please acquaint us with where we might hear more. Can heavenly angels sing more sweetly? (Add more on UA-cam, please.)
I would like to use this in a service as the song is not available from the commercial source we normally use for lyric videos. I would normally ask for permission first but am out of time. Hoping this is OK with you. I have added a copy of the Christ Church Bellingham name and logo to credit the creators.
This was our final song for our church wedding. It is so beautiful.
It will most likely be the communion hymn at my funeral. Agree so beautiful!
I love this song so much. Everytime i heard this at mass, it always warms my heart. All praise and glory to our almighty God. 🙏🏻
A beautiful Catholic song ❤
✝️
Excellent playing and singing!
🎶🎵
May the Lord bless your church forever and ever! ⛪️ Amen!
I was looking for a version of this by solo voice instead of full choir for rehearsal. thank you for sharing!

Praise to Almighty God transends the patriotism of these dated words that have little application today to the country they originally extolled

A beautiful presentation of this wonderful hymn to Our Lord.
Voice of an angel.
Thank you and God bless, from Sri Lanka
Just what I needed to hear. Beautiful singing and playing. Thank you so much.
Thank you for sticking to the original and not ruining this beautiful hymn by trying to be hip and contemporary.
Glory to God 🙏
That was so lovely! Thank you for recording, and sharing this gorgeous Holst melody.

Cool! I love this hymn and didn't know that (even though I've played "Mars" in an orchestra).
It is from the Te Deum, which is much older.
Fantastic!
Beautiful song and I'm In love with the girl singing 😅
