Total opposite of Snap-On.
Been loving the videos morgan, think you could do a dedicated review on the knipex twingrips?.Im a big fan of knipex since my belarussian co worker told me bout them and now im deep into the ecosystem .The cobras and pliers wrench have made my job as a plumber so much easier,so ive been wondering if the twingrips are something i should invest in.
I may do that… thanks for the suggestion. They don’t get as much use as the Cobra or Pliers Wrench but are great to have. Plumbing seems to be the primary place I use them because I can get on things straight on in tight places.
I will try and do a review soon. I have a ton of tools but it’s always hard to decide to review them or not since there are some reviews already out there. I need to remind myself that my perspective may be different than someone else. I know I watch multiple reviews before buying something usually.
Thanks for commenting, and the suggestion!
@@MORGANSMaintenance Thanks for the response and please remember something .Anyone including me who’s subscribed is because we like Your opinion & you view on things .Of course I’ve seen a bunch of reviews already on them but I would watch u review them because I trust your thoughts on tools .
@@quiseplumbs Thanks. That’s what I was meaning by remembering people my want my perspective, I need to remind myself of that.
Hard to adjust to being a part of a community that loves tools as much as me. I’m used to most people not “getting it” when you talk about how some little nuance in a tool makes all the difference. Because of that I think, “They won’t want to see this tool, it’s not something they’ve never seen before”
That is a tremendous compliment though, thank you for that.
I’m out of town for a few days but will look into putting together a video when I get back.
Put a video up today (6/9). Hope it helps!
They are great , their twisting ability ; , no problem twisting 4 , 14 AWG solid , no biggie ( I don’t use much 12-2 , I’ll give them a try next time I use some . I think they think they are Lineman pliers !
Yeah that and the more wire sizes is what puts them above the Electrical Installation Pliers… but I prefer using the Electrical Installation Pliers in my hand
@@MORGANSMaintenance I have two pairs of the Electrical installation pliers , one Comfort Grip , the other VDE , one of the best long nosed pliers in existence !
@@chrisfyfe9212 agree 👍👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance As an aside , smaller than 18 ga. , I just use the Klein Telcom Scissors , they handle 19-24 AWG just fine . I schlep the2600-1’s , as they can handle multi cables up to 1/2” .
ARE THEY SPRING LOADED?
This pair is, you can’t see the spring but it’s in there somewhere. My electrical installation pliers from Knipex are not.
My personal Lineman Pliers killer !
Yep. I rarely use lineman’s anymore
@@MORGANSMaintenance Mine are just a Badge of Office , or second rate hammer ! All they do is take up space in my Packout !
Wish they went to 10 stranded.
@@Gryndcor3 it would be nice… I’ve had a few other people tell me that too 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance have you come across any good strippers that do 10 str? Best I've found are the Klein catapult
Do they offer them insulated??
Currently they only offer in dipped and comfort grip… hopefully they will come out with a set. 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance that would make it even better then what it olready is
@@raulgamez5322 yeah I will buy them when they come out with a pair.
@@MORGANSMaintenance push for it they probably will listen to you
@@raulgamez5322 I wish I had that much influence… it’s one of the few electrical tools they have that aren’t insulated, surely they will.
Is it available in Bangladesh?
I’m not sure. You can get it on Amazon in the US and other countries, but not sure about Bangladesh
Fiyat bilgisi alabilirmiyim lütfen
I had to figure out how to translate but the are between $48 and $60 US Dollars. I have Amazon Links in the description but the price is always changing. Hope that helps!
How much price
The price had been moving up and down. I have a link in the video description where they are currently $50. I have seen them
Between $48 and $79.
How much rupees in Indian currency
@@venkateswarlucheemala2930 3881 rupees is the current exchange for $50
Why don't they make european (metric) version of this pliers?
I’m not sure. They do offer Metric in most of their strippers including the Electrical Installation pliers, but not these.
@@MORGANSMaintenance yeah, kinda weird. Wish they would do it
Fuking awesome
I had them even longer now… still phenomenal 👍
My guy, those screws aren’t 8/32nds and 6/32nds, they are 8-32 and 6-32. It’s not a fraction, it’s size #8 or #6 screw with 32 threads per inch. You just say “six thirty two” or “eight thirty two” One of my biggest stupid petty pet peeves in the industry
You are 100% correct. I didn’t even catch that is what I say… probably because I deal in fractions way more often in my work than I do screw sizes my brain reads it that way.
Thanks for your comment
Once you go KNIPEX, everything else is junk...there is a difference.
I have found all mine to be top notch tools.. not to say other tools aren’t, but Knipex all perform extremely well.
Well, I would give Knipex a try.😄
Not to bust your balls but it is pronounced as Nip-pex. I honestly feel like it was intentional that you keep adding the car at the beginning of it and I'm dying from it if it is intentional if not it's still pretty funny not really trying to be ugly or anything I just didn't know if you were aware and I'm not even going to like even try to lie and say that I've never actually said it the exact same way before
The company came out with a shirt and videos that say Kuh-nip-ex. I called them Nippex for a long time before that… ua-cam.com/video/8J9ZHaTngb4/v-deo.html
I prefer Nippex, it is easier to say. I have the same thing with WERA screwdrivers… apparently it’s pronounced VERA but I’m not doing that.
Here is a video of them actually saying it ua-cam.com/video/Jg38fvLR6-k/v-deo.html
I have a bit of a country accent so most things I say come out a little funny, you don’t have to worry about busting on me 😂
He's saying it right
@thekinginthenorth989 👍
very good
Thank You 👍
