Thank you! Yeah it's an impressive Kid's Club. The best I've seen is the Soneva Jani one (ua-cam.com/video/hUDAoeLkjTg/v-deo.html) - that's nuts.

Loved the detailed description you made. greatly appreciated. We’ve been to Kandooma and Madi before, for surfing. How’s the surfing at the Ritz? What are the nearest breaks like? Busy? We are intermediate surfers and tend to love long boards and soft easy waves.

Thanks Eleanor! No surfing at the Ritz directly - you need to get a charter, which then takes you to all the regular places. Holiday Inn Kandooma and Club Med are the best I've come across for easy affordable surfing.

@ yeah, I think you are right. Surfed “ninja’s” a few times and loved it. Didn’t stay at Madi but def took advantage of the beer run while we were there. Madi does attract a lot of tourists that aren’t our kind of vibe…
However, Kandooma has been good to us so we’ll probably stick with it again. Thanks for the reply and stay safe out there bro🏄

Great Review. Have you been to the St. Regis as well? How does that compare to the ritz / or other Marriott Propertys?

Thank you and yes I have - ua-cam.com/video/-OymJkZZHIM/v-deo.html
I will do a video comparing the two at some point - they are both great, but also very different from each other. The St Regis is smaller, easier to get around, more communal and has a fantastic house reef, but it's in need of some TLC and is harder to get to.
Ritz Carlton is super modern, has incredible food and better facilities.

@@motivatedtravel Thank you! What do you mean with TLC ? We're about to spend points as Marriott Titanium, St. Regis comes with "free" breakfast while Ritz doesnt. Do you think the Ritz' Breakfast is worth 120 USD for two a day if you compare to the St. Regis?
We're just a couple with no kids and looking for another nice Island (after Milaidhoo) to snorkel + dive. In our case, St. Regis and Ritz are the same amount of points to spend, hard decision because most people say the Ritz is another level.
      Thanks anyways!!

@@bjoerns2 By TLC I mean that the buildings are older and show thier age a bit more. Ritz is brand new. Both resorts do a fantastic breakfast - the free breaky at the Regis also includes unlimited champagne and bloody mary, which is pretty good.
The Ritz is epic, but St Regis is still fantastic. If snorkelling is a big thing for you, and you can get a free breaky (as food is crazy expensive in the Maldives), then I'd go the Regis.
