I acquired two used Trend units for free complete with everything needed to refurbish them. I now have them if needed, but plan to buy something more comfortable. They are just too heavy and ill fitting. Glad you found a comfortable unit.
Great find Stewart. I know Emma loves hers but at the full price it is out of my budget. I have seen a couple of eBay but am a bit suspicious of the sellers. Take care Stewart and good luck when you leave teaching in a couple of weeks. Cheers, Huw
Cheers, Huw - I am surprised how much easier it is to wear for an extended period than any other mask I've worn. I know what you mean about being wary of ebay buys....got carried away and bought a Versaflow on there as well....still waiting for it to arrive 5 days after postage.....
Great video Stewart, would love one of these, but rather out of my budget at the moment. May keep an eye on ebay though. Thank you for sharing your experience with it.
Hi Stewart, I saw them at The Woodworking Show at the Newark Showground and they were not low cost but I can understand people making the investment if they are going to turn a lot more than your average hobbyist. At the end of the day, it is a good investment although the belt does not show your posture off too well. Yes, I know I could lose some weight but mine I have had it for 25 years longer than you, and the NHS is about to try and sort it out for me.
Ta, Emma - I was surprised how comfortable it was to wear and how it didn't make me feel a bit removed from the wood. Hope the versaflow gets here soon....
Hi Stewart interested to hear your thoughts on the versa flow, I love mine. Head and shoulders above the trend, which was far too heavy for using any length of time. Wouldn't go back. Cheers Geoff
Cheers, Jeff - I got delivery of my versaflow in the week but no time to give it a try yet...possibly tomorrow afternoon.....I'll do a video of my thoughts on it compared to the Sundstrom as soon as I can...
We use these for asbestos removal (with appropriate filters and pre-filter) these are designed for hazardous materials for those of us who require a helmet with our full face respirators, and for those of us who want to keep our beards. The price for our application is wholly justified. NB: I'm in Australia so our prices are even more outrageous than in the UK.
Hope you got it for a good price. It always annoys me how expensive these are. How can they justify a price tag of £1000 for something that really isn't that complicated.
It is frustrating, Ben!!! It winds James up that they cost so much so resellers like himself can’t bring prices down to help people out. He already sells it £200 cheaper than it should be just to cut it down as much as possible 😕
@@stewartfurini Thank you for your reply Stewart I’m thinking of getting a mask like that but I’m worried that the paint may stick to the screen blocking visibility
I have 2 of these , The one you are demoing and one the has a shoulder harness , Just be warned you can get a shock it you pass wind , EEEK cough splutter.

Merci, Denis. I don't know where in France you can buy it. In the UK you can get a new one here: www.jc-safety.co.uk/
Merci 👍
