I think it's because it's not r'n'b/rap/electro enough. Unfortunately, it's the only thing that's selling these days ... The best consumers of music are teenagers and 1- this is obviously not the kind of music they are looking for and 2- they don't buy music. They download it illegally. So yeah. I think that's why. And it's a shame. (And maybe some people forgot Alex&Sierra even existed ?)

That's because of the contract that they end up getting stuck with once they win the competition. They probably can't market their music the way they should because they have to do it the way the Sony recording company wants. They're still famous to me though, I love them.
