    "Her husband is awful and she's an alcoholic" coupled with the image of a smiling Danielle Bradbery sitting on church steps in a white dress was not well thought out.

    Love your voice, been a fan since your 1st day on The Voice. Just one issue: the backup vocal during the chorus actually pushes your voice back into the mix, when your vocal should be louder during the chorus. Honestly, you don't even need a backup vocal during the chorus with your perfect tone. Either UA-cam's conversion is doing it, or time to kick your mixing engineer in the butt for doing that to your beautiful voice.

    Perhaps you know the answer to this:
    When "Dixie" went on sale at itunes, a radio blackout was maintained for a week. "Dixie" stayed at the top of the country chart for 4 days.
    Who imposed the radio blackout, BMLG? And could they have made it only 72 hrs so when it was lifted, she would still have been sitting at the top of the Country chart?

    Its nice to hear her with her own music......I followed her on the voice....and always felt her emotional connection with the song was off...her voice was always beautiful.but watching her with her own song makes her glow.....great voice....not Carrie not Taylor.. has a complete Danielle B. Voice.....I hope they keep her natural voice.... cause its very pretty....I'm not a fan of the auto tuned high notes on many artists....her voice auto tunes itself..... I'm clapping for ya lil Brad... smiles

    PETE TOWNSHEND, THE WHO'S legendary guitarist,made headlines recently when he called iTUNES a "DIGITABLE VAMPIRE" that profits from artists without much support,he wants APPLE to do more to support musicians who are the backbone of their music sales, The bottom line ARTIST recieve $1 for every $10 retail album sale aka WALMART, the itune break down is sad a $ 9.99 download nets an artist 94 cents, record company gets $5.35 and Apple keeps the rest, thats why artist tour!!!!!

  • @sc1212able
    @sc1212able 11 років тому

    you answered your own question, before itunes and all the other digitable places to buy music, record labels depended on radio for airplay,well that has all changed,when DIXIE was released it went right to #1, which equals huge sales, IF they would of released it to radio the same time, they would made half,its all about marketing, she fell off itune ladder but shes climbimg on BIllBoard charts, which is good when she releases her first album

    As of March 25, 2013, Danielle's been my ONLY "FAVORITE" singer. Upon The Voice ending, that's when her REAL competition began. Everyone and the horse they rode in on wants to be a SINGER. She needs to sing at the level of "Wasted" EVERY time. They need to get her songs where she can sing at a LEVEL that NO ONE else can reach. She needs to pick up all the competition, turn them upside down, and POWER DRIVE them head-on into the CHARTS DIRT. SHE needs to have "the FIRE and the FIGHT of a gypsy."

  • @HideTheTruthInside

    I am so tired about people saying Danielle didn't challenge her self and was boring on the show. Blake chose all of her music to sing. Danielle has even said that and she also said she had other songs she would have liked to sing. Danielle put her trust in Blake and it payed off. The purity of Danielle's vocals is what won it for her. I think if Blake had given in and picked "Big" songs for Danielle the contest would have been over before it started.

  • @TheNoChimpsBus
    @TheNoChimpsBus 11 років тому

    This matches it's her first "professional" song after winning The Voice, a "REALITY" game show, which is the context in which people are presently accustomed to seeing her. It's better than some "artsy" video with cheesy dancers. The video includes her MOM. A lot of people LOVED Danielle's live performance of "Who I Am" because she included her Mom. Also some of her fans have said she needs NO GIMMICKS, because she's a REAL singer. LOVE this video.

    GET USE TO IT, The recording labels are working with I tunes!!!!, I wanted to say that as nicely as possible, they did the same thing to CASSADEE POPE, I'M doing a search right now and see how many labels are kissing itunes ass, I'm not showing a blackout on the last top songs released by established artist in the last 6 months, so maybe just new artist

    DANIELLE'S success all depends on how good BIG MACHINE promotes her, let her work with the best writers like HILLIARY LINDSEY, and keep it country she should be alright, not like all the IDOL stars, season 9, had to of the best female singers ever, SIOBHAN MAGNUS and without a doubt CRYSTAL BOWERSOX, look where their careers have gone!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'll bet Brett James is happier than a pig in slop. He gets to help pen "Jesus Takes the Wheel" which started off Carrie Underwood's amazing career and now he helps pen The Heart of Dixie" and even gets to produce Danielle's start of her soon to be amazing career. He was definitely all smiles on the vid.

    when DANIELLE starts rheaping the benefits of her amazing talent, her family should hire a good money accountant, prime example, JANA KRAMER, 29 years of age, made 85 million dollars last year singing , her NET WORTH is 289 million, not bad for only 29 years old, and Danielle is only 17, OMG

    Most of her songs are either peppy pop-country anthems for 12-21 year olds, sappy love songs, or break-up songs that go into detail without meaning too. We want Danielle to stay wholesome, yet watch her grow up at the same time. It just seems like Taylor stopped aging at 16, and suddenly gained a bunch of respect from her predeccesors without them actually listening to her all of her albums all the way through and assessing the material. She's an okay singer and songwriter, but let Danielle grow

  • @gkchesterton5153

    Yes,I think every great artist kind of reminds you of someone, but what really makes them great is they have a fresh, original sound, despite similarities, you cannot put your finger on.I see the comment 'angelic' a lot to describe Danielle's voice,and I have to agree. She has an original sound yet something almost throwback about it, which maybe is why she transcends age groups and genres(not so to speak a country music fan myself,although have loved some songs in the past).Also,simply talented

  • @RaidaSama
    @RaidaSama 11 років тому

    Why do people come to an artist's page and comment how much they hate them? If you don't like the artist then you don't have to listen to them. Personally I love this girl. 16 years old and she won a televised signing competition. Obviously America loved her so get over it. Go listen to music you like instead of coming here and making yourself look like an immature ass with no life.

    Don't know where you got that. She has never said she was trying to be anyone but Danielle. If you followed her as we do you would know how excided she was to have a song that is Danielle's not a cover. She also admires Miranda Lambert, and Taylor swift she don't plan to replace them either. This young lady has a fantastic voice and unlimited potential. Don't worry about Carrie, I love Carrie and have no plans to give her up. We love Carrie but Country music is big enough for Danielle too.

    Thank you for bringing country back to me. I haven't been listening to anything but talk radio for the past 10 years or so. I started watching the voice last year and thought Cassadee was fantastic. She had a lot of experience to put on the table though. Your voice is so clear and sweet and refreshing I think everybody loves listening to you. If you read this comment I hope you don't mind if I suggest a song to cover. There is nothing dirty or wrong in the story. It's just about a woman who picks herself up and moves forward with her life rather than letting the trials of life bring her down. How is singing a song that tells a story of perseverance, determination, and resilience inappropriate? I dare say many 16 year olds (and younger) have witnessed such things and much more in their own families', friends', and neighbors' lives.

    Hello everyone ! I had never listened to a single country and western song being an Englishman who frankly loves ballet and opera BUT one day by great good fortune I discovered THE VOICE USA and was totally enchanted by firstly the other brilliant young girl singer Savannah Berry and then Danielle ! I thought that the panel were so funny and Blake in particular absolutely marvellous ! Well Danielle is just bound for the top and I can't wait to hear her albums in the future !

  • @BlownAwayByDanielle
    @BlownAwayByDanielle 11 років тому

    I just hope the next single lets her show off the power of her voice. "Dixie" while a nice tune, didn't. Her cover of "Jesus Take the Wheel" is what inspired my username.
    I'm still pissed we didn't get to see Danielle perform any Martina covers like "Broken Wing", "Anyway", "Independence Day", etc. during the Voice. Can't argue with Blake's strategy because it served DB very well and delivered her the crown. But I still fell somewhat deprived of what would have been breathtakingly awesome.

  • @BlownAwayByDanielle
    @BlownAwayByDanielle 11 років тому

    I don't agree with the premise, that Danielle fans wouldn't have downloaded the song immediately, even if it were released to radio simultaneously. It's like during the Voice, her fans download her songs as much to support her as to own the music.
    But even if the premise were true, is 7 days cast in stone (appears to have been at least 3 days beyond the optimum) or could it be fine tuned to a 3 or 4 day delay.
    I appreciate this practice is relatively new caused by the digital revolution

  • @BlownAwayByDanielle
    @BlownAwayByDanielle 11 років тому

    Thanks for the list.
    I however favor a strategy of blitzing the 800 lb gorilla - SiriusXM The Highway - New Country #59 - for three basic reasons:
    1) It is broadcast NATIONALLY over satellite radio
    2) SiriusXM has over 25 MILLION paid subscribers
    3) Its genre of New Country seems perfect for a new artist with new music
    If we can knock down the big gorilla, the others will fall on their own.
    Any thoughts????

  • @BlownAwayByDanielle
    @BlownAwayByDanielle 11 років тому

    You are correct - over the last week.
    However, her sales rate has continuously slowed and now sits at #26 on Country Chart over last 24 (about 2K downloads a day). Her peak sales rate was near 20K per day.
    I'm going to be a broken record on this. DB fans need to shift their attention to getting her on Country radio. Her sales rate has slowed such that "Dixie" is not such a big attraction to radio. We need to blitz country radio with song requests for Dixie. Then its sales mo will resume.

    Don't get me wrong, BM is very important to her future success. The speed with which BM assembled a team of exceptionally talented people to work with her, was vital to producing a great first song, "Dixie". And they have lined up radio interviews, and billboard adds to promote her - helpful.
    But the same fans who carried her to #1 on the Voice by voting and itunes, who then helped get "Dixie" to the top spot overnight, stand willing and able to get her on radio - just need to be mobilized.

    Big Machine promotes Cassadee Pope too, and I think most of us want Danielle to do a lot better than Cassadee has done so far. Country radio is the grave yard for many career. And Big Machine can only do so much to break her in.
    Nothing will conquer Country radio for DB faster than an army of her fans demanding to hear her.
    And it's not like she doesn't have a huge, motivated and active fan base. Dixie took the top spot on itunes overnight - not because of BM - but because her fans acted.

    Danielle's fans made her the Voice champ, and carried her to itunes success. But our job isn't done until we've got her superstar status cemented by making her a mainstay on country radio. This job deserves as much effort from her fans as she got from us during the Voice.
    Pass it along to all Danielle fans. Let's rally the troops for one more DB victory

    It's time for Danielle's activist social media fans to turn our attention to making "The Heart of Dixie" a mainstay on country radio. itunes sales mo has slowed, so country radio feels no "pressure" to play the new song from the new artist.
    To get "Dixie" played on country radio, we need to blitz it with a relentless stream of song requests. Top station, SiriusXM The Highway - New Country #59. SiriusXM is national and has over 25 mil subs. If we can break thru DB gains huge exposure w new fans.

    Far be it for me to criticize the brains at BMLG, but for whatever reason, the 7 day radio blackout imposed on "Heart of Dixie", predictably, has resulted in nearly all of its itunes sales momentum being lost. She is now down to #12 on Country Chart after having remained at the #1 spot for nearly 4 days.
    The case for playing her song on Country radio was way more compelling with it having exploded to the top spot, then with it sitting at #12 and dropping like a rock. What was BMLG thinking?

    While I agree with your general point, there are some classics that, if she's as successful as we think she will be, become almost obligatory - like Patsy Cline's "Crazy".
    Could also see her taking a shot at "I Will Always Love You". Maybe, "Unchained Melody" - LeeAn Rimes did a great cover (watch?v=V7ULzx_IM0Q). Maybe bring back some L Ronstadt stuff like "Desperado" (watch?v=oAK5Ids7l5g).
    But your point is well taken, Danielle is no longer a cover artist but an original performer.

    First off, Danielle did not write any of the songs she sang. Michelle didn't write any of hers, either. She is not void of expressing emotion; it's just not her style to do it by punching the air & squatting over and over in every song. Given that Blake Shelton, A PROFESSIONAL, was her coach, and given that she WON (which wasn't a title given to her by the 4 judges on the show. It was given to her by the votes and interest of people from all across America), I don't think she needs your advice.

    Dear Danielle, I respect you of singing your songs with that beautiful voice. I have a suggestion for you: next song you write, maybe u could add in a little bit more enthusiasm like Michelle did on the voice. And you maybe want to sing songs and have the events in the song relate to your own life, So you have a bit more experience great work with the heart of Dixie thou. Btw when is your next song gonna come out????????????? Can't wait!

I have been listening to break up songs and found this band named Hey You that has a song that almost perfectly describes my situation. So if you are a boy or a girl and have had your heart broken, you might want to check out this tune. Since it helped me so much want to make this song as popular as ever . Search: hey you maybe

    I seriously... I had like no idea who she was until like..a few weeks ago. I don't watch the voice anymore. Figures when I stop watching a Country girl wins. -_- But this is a good song. But I wish people would stop comparing her to my idols. It's getting annoying. SHE IS HER OWN PERSON! Stop branding her with other artists. Let the girl be her own artist. She is talented and is her OWN voice.

    No argument here. From the first day on the The Voice show, she never made a mistake. I knew that when she picked up the microphone, she would deliver something special and that it would be perfect. Here is another example. While it is studio-recorded, for Danielle it could just as well be live.
    Who can forget the time she sang the song Who I Am and ended up by her rather large family to give them hugs? She knows that family is the most important thing. What a perfect daughter they all have.

    Yes, Danielle's delight and awe being in that country "sacred" place are so apparent.
    I do hope the real country audience does appreciate and embrace her work. Even with her interest in "country-pop" still her core sound is truly country... to my ears anyway. I'm no expert but that's my impression from "Mean" audition onward.
    I hope you'll find a way to keep Danielle fans in the loop about her connections with Opry events. Please do that for me anyway. :))
