Estranho e que o mesmo ganhou um campeonato assim, e na Austrália as notas foram estranhas de mais para os brasileiros. Algo de certo, está errado ! Kkkkkkkk
There's a reason this heat is at the center of the conversation. There is a question mark here. I agree with Mel's assessment. End of the heat. Larger risk. Pulls it.
@BJJ & SURF The WSL we’re getting threats of Violence. Riots. Protests… Disgraceful! I think the real culprits are all the Brazilian surfers who claim every wave 2 foot wave they finish, and can’t be humble in defeat. It’s really getting out of control and the WSL need to address it now!
@@lebowski6061 I remember in the 90's there was another bunch of Brazo's that were the bulk of the claim merchants. It runs deep... But back then, there were only a few that were decent surfers, many with woefully-janky styles. Of course now, to be fair, there's Brazo rippers everywhere, with crazy good styles and all the tools in the box. I'd never call Jack Robbo a claim merchant! Have you not noticed that when Jack Robbo pulls in and makes some crazy, heaving pit, he aint claiming - his surfing's just done the talking, and has been in that realm since he was a cadet. If he's claiming in competition in piddly 4 foot surf it's playing the game to try to level the playing field with what is usually a heat filled with Brazo claims. He'd never claiming in that scenario in a free surf. I could be wrong, but that's how I've seen it year after year, for decades.
Comparing each surfer’s best wave it’s clear that Jack should have won but hey it was a close heat and could have gone one way or the other. Well done to Herdy. Let’s not be butthurt about it like the brazzos are when their surfers lose (and less when the event is held in such sh*t conditions - which is nonetheless prime by brazzo standards).
For me the problem is when surfers get under or overscored. Jack could have won and it would be ok, but ppl can’t say he was underscored when the difference is so small like a .7
@@jackandcalbmxkids2092 judging doesn’t have an especific “answer”, is subjective. So, there is an acceptable margin for a score in my opinion. It could have gone either way, it wasn’t an unfair score at all (were it a 6 or something, than it would be underscored)
@@jackandcalbmxkids2092 he means that he hates under and over scored waves just as much as anyone. But you can’t say that Jacks 7.00 was underscored when the “correct” score was 0.07 points away
I’m Brazilian, and as much I’d like Jack out, he 100% deserved on the last one turn the heat… and these judge mistakes keep happening so frequently and it makes me wonder why the heck people are still angry over a “subjective” sport interpretation. Just watch the moves and get over yourselves
I feel like Jack just didn’t really do enough on that wave and the first section just somehow went flat when he hit it. But let’s be honest, this could have gone either way and even Herdy didn’t really celebrate because it wasn’t the cleanest and most convincing victory…
How to win in Brazil, claim everything, 1/2 point per hand shake in a claim - not Herdy's fault though. Scrappy heat in shitty waves - farthest thing from a Dreamtour location! Would be nice if some Saudi / Indian Billionaires footed an alt "no expenses spared" surf league like has been done in golf / cricket etc etc
personally i think jack won mateus is a sick surfer and killed it too, but ol' last minite jack pulled another doozie out of the bag on that last 🌊 but then again, who the f@#k am i to be handing out judgement 🤡
They totally just screwed Jack out the world title race, I hope he wins in j bay and tehapoo
So funny watching the @WSL get on it’s knees for the Brazilians. Can’t give Jack a win or the locals will be angry 🤣

typical @WSL sus judging
Exactly.

Jacks last wave. Bigger Set wave, 2 turn critical combination, I’d say the finish was the best turn all heat.

“JACK got robbed” Medina was robbed against Jack, Italo was robbed against Jack, Toledo was robbed against Jack, so?🤷🏻 whatever man.
so judges are bad and he still should have won
So? = 1x3
Enough with the fist pumps... Lame.....
Isn't the law that if you claim anything under a 9 you're shouting drinks that night. Herdy just claimed the next 6 months.
@@myvideoguy all the Brazo’s on tour would be poor 😂 and so would Jack Robbo, he’s also a claim merchant

Makes sense the QS surfs nias and the ct surfs this? The is a reason Kelly is not there!
Sad to see grown men reducing good surfing down to “Brazzo vs Gringo” and nationalistic lines… chill out

They shoulda stayed in indo
I’m here for the comments 🍿
Glad Peter is back!
Peter Mel calls it like it is. He's a credit to the commentary team. I'd love them to bring back Ross too.

What?! Herdy celebrated at least 10 times during the heat. Not sure what you were watching mate.....
@@jackandcalbmxkids2092 Post Heat interview. Claiming is 90% of times just tactics and 10% just celebrating the wave not the win anyways
Herdy celebrating basic turns on 2-3 foot waves max, @WSL must reward 1/2 point everytime a hand shakes

You'd almost think it WAS a QS given the shitty conditions / location
Kkkkkkk Brasil.... Congratulations Matheus .... Go home Jack Robinson... Kkkkk 🤜🤛
He lives in Brazil too dumbass
No Jack’s going to Jbay, then Tahiti, then Trestles! But Matheus will stay home.

Crap waves , Poor judging , why does wsl go to brazil ? That was embarrassing

No, John John! The guy wasn't robbed. Actually, a 6.50 would be enough for his last wave.
Robbedinson 🤣
Não. Ele perdeu mesmo, se não fosse no Brasil ele teria ganhado aí seria roubo.
