I think that you should leave it, but finish it off. With a small solar panel for the top of the wall and rechargeable battery. You are now a public artist. You have done what most artists spend a lifetime trying to accomplish. You stopped people in their tracks and made them look! As an avid fan of Knightrider growing up, I would just like to say I've just added you to my list of "personal heroes" :D I loved this! The only way it could have been made better was with the addition of a speaker that plays the theme song - but that could potentially be irritating for the people around and cause a nuisance/disturbance ... which you _could_ get into trouble for. If you're worried about prosecution for vandalism, don't be too much. As long as you don't alter the sign in any way, cause any damage, obscure it or prevent it's normal function/use (like making it harder to read by blinding people with the light brightness) there's not much they can actually do except remove it if they don't like it and tell you to not do it again.

It's easy to install such thing like illumination on a public property. Much harder is to remove it back - people can notice that and assume that this is a real vandalism.

Love it! I suggest you write to the authorities about making this permanent. There are little gimmicks like this all over the place, and they're great for tourism, so I can't see why they would object, as long as you went through the right channels. One of my favourite "municipal jokes" is the bronze(?) statue outside a library in Southampton, where a guy is taking a book from a shelf, and the book is actually cemented into the bricks of the wall. Also in Southampton, the back half of a Mini sticking out of the upper storey of a car repair establishment, the number plate reading "OSH 1T". Someone should make a video about all these things...! That’s bloody amazing Matt. There used to be a branch of the International Cheese Centre outside City Thameslink station and I always they were a front for Knight Rider’s nemesis, positioned nearby to monitor him.
This will go down as one of the better pranks of the year. Something that nobody who counts hated and quite a few people enjoyed.

Love it! I suggest you write to the authorities about making this permanent. There are little gimmicks like this all over the place, and they're great for tourism, so I can't see why they would object, as long as you went through the right channels.
One of my favourite "municipal jokes" is the bronze(?) statue outside a library in Southampton, where a guy is taking a book from a shelf, and the book is actually cemented into the bricks of the wall. Also in Southampton, the back half of a Mini sticking out of the upper storey of a car repair establishment, the number plate reading "OSH 1T". Someone should make a video about all these things...! If you don't fancy it, pass it along to your friend Tom ;-)
Love this, and next time I'm in London this has to be up and running. Massive fan of the show. Can't believe no-one has done this before or the council. Put it back, and any fans of the show that visit's will know to take a battery to keep it going for the next!! Kinda thing
