  • The micellar water battle - luxury vs drugstore skincare when we compare the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water with the Bioderma Micellar Water. Perfect your SKINCARE ROUTINE
Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where in todays video we are comparing two of the bestselling micellar cleansing waters - Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water vs Bioderms Micellar Water. Which is the best cleanser for your skincare routine.
Micellar water has become a staple in a lot of peoples skincare routine with its gentle, convenient and effective cleanse which can even tackle waterproof makeup. With so many different micellar water cleansers on the market it can be hard to know which is the right one for your skin care routine.
Bioderma Micellar Water - this was the original and what many people consider the best micellar water in terms of performance. It comes with a high price point but in a range of sizes which is super convenient. Bioderma are not a cruelty free company which is a shame but this micellar water has some added cucumber water extract to calm and soothe the skin.
Gannier Micellar Water - This is a drugstore cleansing favourite for so many people and it works as well as the Bioderma micellar water when it comes to removing makeup and dirt from the skin. Unlike Bioderma, Garnier are cruelty free which is a huge bonus and with this product you get a lot more for your money. There is no cucumber water extract in this one so it may not be quite as soothing as the Bioderma bu a holy grail for sure.
I would love to know what your thoughts are on either of these products and what your experience has been so let me know in the comments below.

I personally feel the Bioderma is better for the area around my eyes 🥲 less drying. But both work equally well.

@@MadAboutSkin good cleanse at night, Garnier micellar water cleansing AM to wash Tretinoin off, then vitamin C, then moisturizer, then spf. Topped off with e.l.f. matte magic mist and set spray to decrease oily look from natural oily skin and sunscreen. Find this to be very effective routine. Would like to hear your thoughts on the matte pressed powder after sunscreen for us oily people. Love the channel

If I remember well, the Garnier one has a higher pH which can be drying in long term use contrary to Bioderma.

I found that too with the garnier one, also it was foamy on the face and felt like I had used a sulphate product 🙈

I use the Garnier pink one in my two steps cleanser routine. I have a question: if I have the Altruist face fluid sunscreen today which is waterproof, Garnier is enough for first step? ( And then a gently water based cleanser) thanks for your answer 🙂

@@mooniecri Sometimes I hear and read: we need oil based cleanser or two phase micellar water to remove waterproof sunscreen, but somebody told me, the Garnier pink one is okay, cause an average micellar water is enough for waterproof stuffs.

Can these kinds of water be a substitute for a regular cleanser?

In a pinch where you can't wash your face, this is a good option to remove make up, dirt, and oil. However, you should still be cleansing your face with water and a cleanser when you can. Lots of people use this as a first cleanse, then use cleanser and water to finish off the cleanse.

What’s the purpose of micellar water IF I double cleanse anyways???? . Oil then cleanser. So I don’t think I need the micellar water right???

Micelar water is for who dont want to use cleansing balm or oil to remove the makeup. So if you have a prior step than that you definitely dont need that

Micellar water is meant to be washed off, use it in the evening as a first cleanse wash it off with water then follow it up with your cleanser
Some people with dry/sensitive skin don't wash their face in the morning and that's okay, just splash your face with water if you feel that cleansing is a bit too harsh for you

I just about passed out in the yard pulling lumps of crabgrass. Sitting here sweating off my morning routine. I am so confused about what I have in my arsenal that I can use with V C. Do a Zoom with me and charge 50 pounds per half hour.
