AGREEEEEED. I just discovered Alyssa this past week and I’m just FEASTING upon her amazing content! Teaching remotely from home on top of having embarked on a 2021 no buy year makes me feel like I’ve gotten into a rut when it comes to fashion and Alyssa has COME TO MY RESCUE!!! 💕 💕 💕
"comfortable, being at home, trying not to think about the end of the world, and feeling chic and ready to tackle the day" 😂😂😂😂 Instantly subscribed and liked. That's so 2020s
I have been homeschooling my 2 children since 14th of december (in Germany schools are closed). Now I am drinking my coffee, trying not to think about the end of the world, and watching one of my favourite youtuber 🥰🤣
I love these minimalist capsules so much; I always see them as "how to pack" for trips - maybe 6 pieces of clothing , lots of scarves (big changes, easy to stuff into shoes or voids, several necklaces and/or diff earrings. Easy peasy. Thanks for another fun inspirational!
The description of the colorful scarf as a "happy middle finger to the -28 temp" was the perfect appetizer to have with a glass of wine at the end of along Zoom day. Thanks, Alyssa!
This is a good capsule idea. Don’t own a jumpsuit...but the other items I do own. So here we go. Thanks a lot Alessa! Keep those videos coming. Stay safe and healthy! Hugs from The Netherlands.
The black turtleneck with the tan blazer is my favorite! This blazer really looks amazing on you: perfect fit!! I just brought a couple of thrifted pieces to the tailor for the first time ever: excited for a perfect fit, too! :)
Wow, Alyssa. I really like the way you have matched the pieces together in this look-book. I think it is simple, elegant and comfy. You are right, the loafers with the socks really goes well together. The loafers, even without the socks, with the jeans turned-up like you did, makes a noticeable difference to the look.
You look great in everything . I have a full closet and am struggling to want to get dressed and not fall into depression , I think I’m going to reevaluate what I have and what’s comfortable and can still be cute , now ,after seeing this great surprise video . Thanks so much .
You really do know what you are doing don’t you, classy & casual very hard to pull out of the bag, but you do it so well, thank you for these ideas & looks for us 🥰🇬🇧 love from chilly London xxx
Super job. This could be used by someone starting from scratch (college student needing to step up their wardrobe, etc.) to build a basic wardrobe. Extremely versatile and surprisingly different looks. I have these pieces and didn't even think to put the turtleneck under a v-neck. I put turtlenecks under thinner print blouses for layering. I just ordered a silk turtleneck for layering into spring. Thanks.
Thank you for this mini capsule. I have a pair of forest green flats. I haven't worn them in years, because I didn't know how to style them. I love what you did with them. Also, I have never thought to put a black turtle neck under an ivory colored V- neck sweater, thinking that the black underneath wouldn't look right, but I like the way it looks on you. I should give it a try. Thanks again.
Hello Alyssa! Love what you've done with these five pieces. (Clever to use a jumpsuit that could be 2 separate pieces!) Could also use a button down dress. Would love to see this for a summer capsule. Keep on inspiring! Love love love you! 🥰 XOXO
Super creative challenge with a wow effect 😍 Done from time to time helps to discover the true value and versatility of one's closest. And please, do the denim-free edition too. Thanks for the video 🙂🙏
Hey Alyssa.....love your colour palette and ooooo the music got me jamming away...haha. ..outfits are really great too....love your hair pinned up....beautiful. ...I'm definitely going to get myself a long silk scarf. ...thank you. ..remain blessed xxx
Always a pleasure to see you! Love your black jumpsuit. It reminds me of a mustard yellow Norma Kamali jumpsuit I used to have back in the 90’s. Wish I still had it. On zoom calls, I always choose the most complimentary color around my face. Bisous chère Alyssa!
Oooh sounds like such a great jumper Jeannette! Yes - GREAT idea for Zoom to use complimentary colours around the face :) Thank you for watching always lovely to see you in the comments:) Hope you're staying well and safe! xx
Great outfits! Content is fabulous and I really enjoy your energy. Greetings from South Florida, ☀️ it’s a bit chilly here too this week. 🥶😉Missing our Canadian friends that spend winters in my neck of the woods...😕 Thank you! 👍🏼👏🏼😊☀️
What a great surprise to get a mid week video (although it must be a lot of work for you!). Thanks for the great outfit ideas! I just found a great jumpsuit on Poshmark and I will use your outfit ideas to style it. Amazing what can be done with so few pieces. You are incredibly inspiring! Thanks for what you do! 💚💚💚
I really loved this video. Thanks, it's no easy for me think in minimalism when I define myself, all my life, as a "drama-kind-perso". But now, I live in a different country, a different weather and...that's it. Me being a different person that I used to be
Thanks for the looks! 😊 I sometimes dress up working from home but never thought of adding blazers or colorful scarves. (Today I'm heading to the office with a blazer under my puffer, work from home is ending soon here...) Also as I reach mid-30s~ I think I should invest in a nice v-neck cashmere sweater like yours!
Love the look of a turtle neck and a blazer. I need to go buy a turtle neck ASAP lol . Keep up these awesome videos love the different outfits that you created!
Me currently 37 weeks pregnant, half-naked at home most of the time, because even leggings are uncomfortable now, dreaming about when I can wear that kind of clothes again. Nice video :)
For effortless dressing, I think everyone should own a black jumpsuit like yours (the only problem being, it is not "effortless" if you have to use the restroom!).
Hello from Southern California! Alyssa, you are my fashion inspiration! Even though I am a stay at home mom, my new year’s resolution is to update my “mom uniform “ of just jeans and T-shirt but still be mindful of my purchases 😊. Could u do a tutorial on how you would set filters on websites like Poshmark or ThreadUp? I never seem to have luck on finding pieces like yours.
I do a similar challenge these days for myself in the home office: a 10x10 capsule ☺️ Like Anna (Edit) say: I’m stretching my creativity muscles 💪🏻 It’s such a funny way to play. And yes, please do a „no jeans“ mini capsule or a „no pants“, much more difficult 😉
I love that I found you! Since you live with your parents-how about dressing your mom in these capsule wardrobes or any of your challenges- I am older and not as thin as you and I wonder what could look good on me. Thank you
Wonderful ideas! I substituted a black jersey midi wrap dress for the jumpsuit. This will encourage me to wear items that have just been hanging in the closet. Thank you!
This is a great idea. I like the idea of one comfortable piece but a jumpsuit requires one to sit in just a bra for toilet purposes which doesn’t inspire me in winter!
Hi Alyssa, always such great ideas ! Kudos Cream is such a classy color , even on a t-shirt. I use my scraps on my hair , or purse (all are second hand).
@@AlyssaBeltempo I love sage green! I've got two or three pieces in my wardrobe, and I've recently ordered a cashmere sweater in that colour. It's going to be my very first brand new cashmere, too (I've bought a couple of second hand cashmere sweaters because I wanted to see what it's like before spending £££ on a new piece!).
Best. outfit video. ever. Love your commentary, and great outfits, too! Can you tell us the dimensions of that scarf? I'm tiny (4'10") and really want to avoid buying one that is too big.
I love the created looks. I, on the other hand, since they only see the top part of me, wear a nice top and sweats or pajama bottoms with house slippers.
Love this. I can’t believe it when I don’t see people “dressing for work” even if we are doing things virtually. You should move to NS, it’s plus 9 here today and no snow, unlike our capital! Great video again.
@ Dian, I actually do ‘dress up’ for my zoom meetings, including wearing my comfy loafers as well! It really does make a difference as one feels more polished. Interesting enough I have been wearing my cashmere sweaters (great investment) with simple jewellery as Alyssa has shown.
Am I the only who feels so much better about her Christmas tree seeing other Christmas trees? Please don't spoil it by saying this was filmed weeks ago ☃️😁
Love all your videos! Do you have a video on washing and caring for cashmere and Merino Wool? I wash my sweaters on delicate with a very good product , The Laundress. And I lay flat to air dry. But they shrink up so much!
Yay!!! Carrie that is amazing to hear! Thank you so much for supporting and for volunteering! Since I'm planning on doing it monthly, I'm sure I will be on the lookout! If you're still up for it down the road send me an email alyssa@msbeltempo.com! :)
Hi honey! I don’t work from home I’m retired but I love simple vids with at home looks! Did you know Merino wool keeps you Warm in winter and cool in summer? Thank you Uniqlo
So fun to see these simple outfits! However... a dose of reality: a big mug of tea, then a zoom, and by the end, I'm dying because I need to run to the bathroom and someone will. not. stop. talking. I finally close off saying "I have another meeting; sorry guys--meeting is a slight fabrication here--and I throw the blazer on the hall floor as I'm running to the bathroom, rip off the sweater and throw it on the floor, grab the belt and throw it down too, all the while dancing and dancing... until I can get the jumpsuit off. Oh, and because it is SO DANG COLD, I'm also wearing another layer of warm leggings under said jumpsuit... anyone else see this as a slight issue? It's why my jumpsuit is in my off-season closet, much as I would LOVE to throw that exceedingly comfy piece on my winter body! LOL Sigh... I'll dig that jumpsuit out soon, but I won't wear it on a zoom call! Thanks Alyssa, for another great video. Can't wait to try some of these looks!
I love twice-a-week Alyssa! Can I hear an “amen?” Nice challenge and nice outcome.
oooh yay!! I'm so glad you are enjoying the extra videos thank you so much for watching! xx
