Where can I rent one like that
Prep is 99.9% of the job especially on a redo .
Why would someone want to do this?
You may want to apply a new coatings on top, but you cant do that if the previous coating is peeling. Therefore you must remove first any loose material
What sort of machine is this
This is a Scanmaskin 450 diamond grinder fitted out with PCD diamonds
Is this something that you can rent from a Home Depot or somewhere? We have epoxy colored coating on our driveway, and we want to get rid of it and bring it back to its original concrete finish and then stain or paint. @@learncoatings-epoxyfloorin9448
So True! Removing old coatings is probably the toughest part of the job. This is proper site inspection is also important before quoting!
Removing old dried coating is fair compare to removing uncure coating just imagine removing and it's like a whole bulk of stubborn chewing gum ...boss pls can you say something about this ...I once coated a floor and my staff was care less he reduced the part B and the whole floor refused to cure I really suffer trying to take them off
@@ebujaepoxyfloorsystemshome9905 Ideally it should never happen that the epoxy / PU didn't cure. But in cases like yours and as per my experience, the best is to pour Part B separately all over the stick uncured floor and wait for a day. This will help atleast some areas to cure just enough to be easily removable.
you are right about the site inspection! One of the problems is of course that the customer will find the spot where the floor is peeling and will tell you look its peeling really easily. Then you move 5 metres down, and the coating is impossible to remove
