- This took only 6 hours to finish, but took 4 years for me to actually finish it and here's why ⋆ටᆼට⋆
I spend so much time stressing on my work to sound good that it feels more like a chore these days, and I find that when I spend 20-30 hours on a track, it leaves me exhausted and not wanting to write anything in FL for like 3 weeks, which is well, why I barely upload these days. The more time I spend on a track, the more flaws I see that have to be fixed and that's really the reason why I'm taking so long to finish songs now.
I held off doing Rewind for so long because I convinced myself that I needed to rewrite it from the ground up to sound good, but I chose to simply finish the project using all my original instruments from the teaser I posted 4 years ago instead. The reason being, it's unbelievable how much of a hardass I am about my music, I spend so much time pondering to myself like "Do I think they'll like it? Do I think it's good enough to put on the channel?" Like it doesn't matter that I love the track, if I think it's not perfect then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and "lemme delete the chorus that I just spent 3 hours on because I'm certain it's garbo-"
So my work now will be a mix of my current music style and my style from 2015-2016, since I want to be able to write music for fun again and not worry about it so much. Some days I'll feel like writing something challenging like Malevolence. Other days I'll write about a sweet potato idk, but it'll be stress-free. Sure every track I write may not be as impressive as Malevolence or Red Light & have their cool tricks, but it will give me a chance to write more music instead of feeling turned off to it entirely. I also want to treat my music like I can remix things more often rather than going "Oh well I just did Spear of Justice so I have to wait a year-" because that's stupid and if I wanna remix it two weeks in a row with one being my current style and one being my style from 2016 then why not, that just means more hot fish lady for everybody (・∀・)

It's so strange, as the melody definitely has the feel of your earlier works but the instruments match more of your recent stuff. It's a lovely mix that makes me feel nostalgic and really appreciate how far you've come as a musician! Keep up the good work Shara =D!

I saw the notification for this and nearly dropped my phone.XD Me and my friend thought that rewind wasn't coming out, because we thought you already sorta did it, but just renamed it. I remember one time we were sure that Graveyard Kitten was Rewind, just named different. It’s nice to see this finally released. i agree with you JozziBoi. her style did change, i've been listening for as long as i can remember. since 2015 for sure. maybe i've been listening from the beginning? i'm not sure. but the fact is. every track, new or old, is a treasure worth remembering. worth smiling, studying to, drawing to. it's worth everything to me, that's for sure. every new track adds on to my story, as well as my growing collection of sharax songs on a playlist. i feel as though the songs come at perfect times, each one unique and beautiful. so 3 cheers to the breadstick queen! hazah!

Sometimes, I want to back 2015 then see undertale become popular again. . .
I could imagine this being the end credit’s music for if sans kills you right before you reset the game. Like, while this music plays, it could show a bird’s eye view of various abandoned places in the underground, showing just how much damage you’ve done to the timeline you’re about to get rid of.
Come to think of it, this could also lead to an au where Flowey’s a playable character. Like, after scaring the emotions back into him, he ends up joining you on your adventure since he has nothing better to do with his life.
And in a scenario where Flowey joins your party, he could also end up fighting alongside sans in a genocide route, with him not fighting you at all in a pacifist or neutral route.
The breadstick queen has provided us with gold once again.

I love the tone of this song, it’s so hard to explain. On one hand, it’s happy, celebratory, the genocide could be ended. But it’s bittersweet in a confusing way, Sans still kills someone that could be a friend but is also his biggest threat, it all depends on your choice, and if you’re willing to repent when you make the wrong ones.

I feel you, Shara. I'm hopefully going to be publishing an original novel sometime possibly within two years, and I have these moments where I feel like I shouldn't try simply because I only see the flaws.
But then I remember that my little marks of ink on a dried piece of wood pulp have already inspired people, helped lift their spirits. My little collection of ink marks might end up being what saves someone from suicide, and there's nothing that anyone out there can try to cut me down with that I haven't already stabbed myself with before. I'm my biggest critic, so darn it, I'm going to shut myself up and just create. After all, no failure is pointless.
So Shara, let yourself create. It doesn't have to be perfect. I applaud you for cracking down on a loosening of chains that I'm still having trouble with. Best of luck and blessings.

I have been following this channel for a while and some of these works of art sing to me in a way i havent had other songs do. I get emotional and happy with some of these songs and i absolutely love the work that you do with these songs. This one is another one to add to my playlist but its on repeat by itself right now lol. Its sad to see that you thought that this song wouldn't cut it and im really happy that you got yourself to just go ahead and put it out there. Shara, there isn't a need to worry if your track is perfect, here's why.
You'll keep wanting to make it perfect and when you fix one thing and then find another thing wrong and drive yourself crazy. This track is one of my favorites ever and so I think it's perfect the way it is. The track doesn't have to be perfect, I'll probably still like it. I like how you are mixing your own styles too and I think that it could make you even more insane about your music but don't worry, not everything has to be perfect. I don't have much more to say than "Don't drive yourself crazy, it'll only make it worse." I hope you have more fun making tracks and don't stress over if it's perfect or not.
