@@ryanfowler3285 yeah, I know people who have broke their backs jumping a car like 3 feet high. Those trucks are 20 to 30 plus feet up. I've jumped dirt bikes 70 feet long and landed on the down slope of a tabletop. My friend landed on flat ground and broke his wrist and he wasn't close to as high as these truck are going.
They survive because of shock absorbers, they can be seen above the tires in the chassis. Just look at the size of them! And also I’ve been watching someone named Kevin Talbot who’s building his own truck and he pointed out that every seat must be perfectly fit to each driver by their preference
I was at the World Finals for that one. It felt like slow motion as everyone was rising higher out of their seat as the truck went higher. It was absolutely insane!

100% Agree! Nothing better than when they don’t let off and just hit a jump full send. I remember seeing Avenger do it for the first time as a kid and my mind was blown lol.
I know these trucks are amazing in their abilities of speed, agility, power and so forth but what has always impressed me is how well they protect the driver. They allow you to be actually LAUNCHED incredibly high and come down on your front end and be ok. You’d think it would crush your spine to land the way they land even when landing on all 4s.
There have absolutely been injuries throughout Monster Truck history. But, everything is always improving. The only reason that the drivers can do these crazy things is due to how far safety has come over the years. I'm sure there's plenty of bruises, but they can just walk away from almost any gnarly crash now.
Every time I see this kind of stuff with these trucks it reminds me how far stuff has come,if you watch the first monster trucks they could barely drive over a car slow without breaking, now there40-50 feet in the air and jumping 3/4 the distance of the arena! Way cool!
