Absolutely gorgeous collection. Finally sth different from these new flashy ibanezes and differnt schecters. Beautiful classics. Subsxription guaranteed. Cheers mate
It didn’t start out as a collection lol I just love guitars and amps and can’t help myself. That Gretsch was the result of an ambush in a guitar shop ❤️❤️❤️
Life is short and guitars can be forever, wise words Sir, wise words indeed! Absolutely fantastic collection of instruments, Paul. Great mix of styles and old and new. Very, very nice. Best wishes for 2025 - maybe bump into you in our local guitar store at some point 👍
I was inspired to do the video because of yours. I love seeing other people’s gear. Sort of a cheap thrill I suppose lol. All the best for 2025. Looking forward to more episodes of Dunsy’s Guitar World!
Brand new subscriber here my friend. Love your collection , it’s my kinda gear. You mentioned a pond shop in Toronto, are you Canadian or do you live in Canada ?
I worked in Canada for 6 months when I was younger. I’m in Scotland 🏴 ❤️🤘 the shop was at the bottom of Yonge street going left at the bottom. Queen street? It was on the right hand side. Bet it’s not there anymore lol
Musikraft necks are top-notch, with a range of materials and optional details to choose from that are second to none. Two of the bass guitars I built for myself include made-to-order necks from Musikraft. I can't recommend them enough.
@@gringopig thanks. took me about 20 years to find it. had countless other jaguars along the way, including a super rare '65 dot & bound ocean turquoise (yes, real OTM and not LPB. same as the under the bridge guitar). but my heart always wanted fiesta red, so I worked my way here.
@@elmerfudd743 a friend owned a fiesta red, Dakota red and a burgundy mist Jaguar. It was like a next door neighbour’s bikini party and I wasn’t invited haha
@ it’s not often I watch one of these collection videos and am a fan of even half of the collection. You and I are on the same page when it comes to what we like. I loved em all.
The designs that came out in the 50’s and 60’s have survived for a reason. I see a lot of guitars that try to shake it up and that’s fine but I like the simplicity of the older designs. 🤘❤️🤘
Absolutely amazing collection. How would you describe the main differences between the regular Custombucker pickups that come in the 50s reissue guitars and the 68 Custom humbucker that comes in the '68 Les Paul Reissue? I've always been curious about the '68 LP Custom reissue pickups, since they can't be bought or found anywhere else. Are they generally hotter than the typical Custombuckers? Better or worse?
It’s quite interesting. They sound different to regular custom buckers. At the time this guitar was made, Gibson customerbuckers were potted. They were potted until 2019. These ones though are definitely not. Plus the neck sounds really full and deep. Not muddy more like a jazz guitar. The bridge is super sharp so there’s this wide spectrum going on unlike a regular standard which is more centred. Output is much the same but it’s the spectrum or width that’s different. Might be the guitar but I strongly suspect the pickups. The bridge is super for heavy saturated tones as it cuts right through. 🤘

My pleasure! I had a modern Ibanez once. It wasn’t my thing at all! I want old school! 🎸❤️🎸
Hogmany 2015-16 the Torchlight Procession was awesome, we all ended up on Colton Hill....too too cool. Happy New Year.
Not far from me! I can see it if I lean out the window ❤️❤️❤️
What a collection! That Gretsch looks incredible.

It’s a great neck and so well made. Beats Allparts easily! The wood is great looking.
Nice offset collection! I currently have a 65 mustang and a Fiesta Red 62 Jaguar (Lam board).
Fiesta red is a great colour! I’d love one of those. An early Mustang too! Fantastic ❤️❤️❤️

Is that Les Paul junior in cherry towards the end a custom shop or no ?
Yes indeed. Gibson custom shop!
@ thanks for the response. Much appreciated.
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed it!
