Super simple, it actually took longer to watch this video than it did to replace both headlights on my 2003 F-150. Knowing to put the little "stars" into an X shape before trying to mount the lamps really helped. I didn't even need to remove the corner lamp. Thanks for another great video.
Mike, I've been watching your vids for awhile now and just want to say I do appreciate the professional quality of your productions. Straight and to the point, NO rambling with clear instructions. So thanks! I feel a little guilty as I've yet to buy parts from your company, but I promise to check it out on my next project-a '00 Ford EB Expedition!

@wjsurfdog The best way to adjust them is at night, with the vehicle about 25' away from a wall or a garage door. When you turn the screws you'll be able to see which way the beam is going. Hope this helps you out.
Thanks a million my brotha. Before this video, I saw the tabs, I pulled them up but couldn't get the lights to come out easy, so i figured it must be more screws or something, them after the video, i saw that i had to be a little more manly about getting them out and now i have brand new headlights, makes my car look good, and my wife happy.

Great video. It was very easy after the first panic attack with the right headlight and the left head lamp went right on. Putting the inside bolt in first, then the 2 outer ones is the easiest. The part just about slid right in. Thanks again.
I replaced my headlights a couple years ago. But, I like to go back through these video's so that I don't tear anything up. Keeps the guess work out of it.
Thank you soooo much. The other UA-cam articles on this subject I viewed did not go into detail like you did on the two tabs like you did which left me EXTREMELY frustrated. One look at your site, and within minutes I had the light off and repaired? Thanks again!
+Earl Edwards Thank you for the positive feedback. We really appreciate it! If you have a minute, drop us a review on our Facebook page to let other people know about your experience with us. Here's a link: facebook.com/1AAuto/reviews/
Very good video and informative. I would like to call out here that when putting the light bulb back in,focus on lining up the notches and don't worry about it looking straight and upright if that makes sense. I was stuck popping in the bulb back in, as I was too caught up in imagining a perfect perpendicular placement. it'll fit in without force. I would also emphasize that when popping it back in, take the time to really focus on lining up the pins and slowly line it up and groove them in.
Thanks so much for the video!! I was changing our bulbs and have been struggling to get my driver side in, I would have never thought to take out my corner lamp
Just put SilverStar Ultra's in my 99 F-150 Lariat, and I couldn't get the back tab (on both sides) to go back down. I didn't know those plastic tabs had to line up, along with the metal pins. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to fix it tomorrow!
@Goodwrench496 This video covers from 97-03. Your 2005 Ford Expedition would be different in the way that it mounts. There should be two bolts on top of the headlamp and possibly a third screw in the back of the lens that holds it into place. Hope this helps you out.
@wjsurfdog There should be a couple of screws to turn on the backside of the headlight to turn that will adjust the beam for you. Hope this helps you out.
Thanks for the videos very helpful. I put a little WD-40 on the studs before I reinstall them to make sure that nothing broke and everything clipped on very easily.
I have done this several times and always have trouble getting "on the rails". Taking out the other light, on the side, is so easy (only one screw) and makes reinstalling 10 times faster. Thanks
Thanx! Worked just like in vid, did not have to remove my turn signal lens...was done in about 5mins. Time was very important as it was only 12* in Ohio on the day my bulb burnt out.

Great video, perfect for what I need to do with my 2000 Expedition. I need to replace a headlight because the bulb became dislodged and melted the plastic surrounding the bulb and headlight. Because of this, I need to replace the bulb and headlight. Do I need to order the bulb and bulb assembly separately?
Thank You so much for your help. I will try to go and apply what i have learned. I did not know what those wings sticking out were for and how they have to line up. Thanks Again!!
Aweome video. Couldn't have done it with out you. So how do i adjust the lamps. Took it for a drive and i could only see about 20 ft in front of me. Please help!!!
Thank you! I did all that and when I drove at night the next time, both low and high beams were pointed straight down! I had to drive 20 mph in a 45 just to get home. How do you aim them?
thanks for this video, I had been struggling with old dull headlights for years. Very nice now. Just be careful and ensure the studs with stars follow the tracks they are easy to break off. thankfully I had ones I could remove off my old headlight. a flashlight will help you see
Well.....sure wish I would have watched this first! Now in the morning instead of the sledgehammer I'll just remove the blinker and it should make getting the new light in much easier.
3:08 How do you adjust the distance? When I rotated mine all it did was spin the whole bolt/plastic star assembly. Am I supposed to use a vice lock wrench to hold the bolt while I use another to spin the plastic cap?
I just bought a couple of headlight lamps and turn signal lamps off of you guys. I’m trying to replace some old after market ones that are falling apart. The thing is with those after market lights they didn’t need the screws so they are no longer on the truck. Any idea what screws I can use for the turn signal lamps?
Big critique, can you please state the little black plastic screws are supposed to be on the inside of the headlight housing, been having a hard time with that and broke mine
Can you provide a video on how to aim the headlights on the 97 - 03 F150? I've seen the youtube videos on the aiming method (with the lights on the wall from 25' away) but how do you access the 3 aiming screws I see in your video?

This video was helpful getting started and you definitely want to remove the side light for more space. However, the passenger side is a whole different animal. The screws and prong's move so getting them to line up is alittle more tedious than the video shows. On the passenger side the inside (closest to grill) gives no visibility at all, we finally took the prongs off the light put it in the slot/lined it up and then played with the light until we got the connector to feed back through the backing on the light. It definitely can be done by you, just be prepared for it to take alittle time and PATIENCE. But in the grand scheme I have new lights and the video was correct it really does give the front of my expedition a whole new clean look.
