It brings back memories. I did almost the same ride several weeks ago, but leaving from Ft. Lauderdale and Sturgis and back in nine days. The trip hit a lot of rain, but I'd like to do it again.
@@dropbearmoto yes, for us, when it wasn't raining (I-29 was flooded in parts), it was 95 degrees and high humidity. We are planning to go back next year.
I sold my house there is Springfield 2021 and moved to Nebraska LOL Also EVERYONE misses Spencer's Garage it is around the corner from Gary's where you was at. Stay on the same road, crossover 96 AKA 66 go 1/8 of a mile, first right, go over the iron suspensions bridge and there's the other lesser known Spencers Garage and gas is cheaper at 12c HA. Fun note, once saw a group of people wearing robes walking into the woods out there. I always took that way to go to Talbot conservation area to record background nature audio for some of my music. Also that Cheech & Chong mural is brand new it wasn't there, my house was down that road on Lafontaine too. Only tourist eat at that cafe all the locals go to the Kum N Go (or the DQ by the hotel) around the corner haha I could go on and on what you missed but I see you got the buzzard nest NO ONE gets that!!!
I assume you took the interstate to 96. Next time if you go, go 266 there's a lot of hidden gems It is the scenic route. Not to mention it runs into 96. I've literally escorted a team of people from the UK to Spencers before too lol.
Could you give us your routes ..just looked up Oneill and Valentine NE did you drive along 20....thru NE..looking to go to Sturgis next yr from Houston...looking at 81..83..183 trying not to do too much interstate
@@davewimpenny7188 we did take 20 most of the way as heard it was most scenic and it is the towns that make it so make time to stop! To join that we took a convuluted route from Lincoln but joined the 81 to Madison and 275 from Tilden to 20
Like a TV show super funny and cool. Wife and kids and I are loving it
Thanks! I will need to watch our language with kids watching! 🙉
Great video and tunes. Wish I had been able to meet up sooner on RT 66. To my hubby, you are funny! 😉 Thanks R. Another great video!
He gave me great content! 😂

@@daryltalley8242 Thanks That section of 66 is part of my favorite. With plenty of areas with the original road,
@@musicandbackroads really should have met you before we went!! 😂
