It sure is possible. If you remove the limiters they can actualy go quite fast (it's just a bit illegal here :P , but I know of people who did it, and then you can hit speeds around 80 to 100 kph / 50 to 60 mph).
nagd2010 if you remove the spacer between the pulleys the belt will ride higher then ad bigger tyres remove the throttle stop and ad 50/50 cooking oil that thing will fly 70 plus mph the daff 33 was good for mods ie bigger tyres bigger carbs and removal of the spacers on the back 350 cc 80 mph ? Very scary if only thy made the daff 33/600 in a derv model the Honda 600 z killed the daff as thy had gears and where very fast as standard and looked sporty
How do you get the drivingbelt all the way to the top of the variator when u give full gas? Do your drivingbelt need to be slack or does it need to be tight?
Not entirely sure what you mean with the sound from the rear variator, but the rear is connected to the gearbox, which was set in neutral during the video (so it spins up, but doesn't drive the gearbox/wheels of the car) so it may sound different when it actualy is put in drive gear.
Nice setup, what are the clutches off of originally? I've got a six wheeler amphibious machine and recently installed a 670 cc Kubota and I'm working out some clutch issues. You can see what I"m doing in my videos. That engine is from what as well? Sounds just like mine BTW,and I'm going to add a turbo to mine for schitzngigglze
I've never worked on the engine or clutches myself, so Im afraid I can't awnser that. But everything (engine and transmission) is stock, and is build in a so called micro-car.
nagd2010 If you had the work done for you, could you please inquire as to what both clutches are from? They appear to work very well with one another and MAY be the hot ticket answer to my clutching issues. Thanks
Al McCormick Well I've sold the vehicle a couple of months ago, and I'm not realy in contact with the shop/garage anymore. However I did find shops who sell micro-car parts (like transmission parts and such) and maybe it can be usefull. The site is dutch, but maybe it's usefull: www.route45.eu/nl/vario-koppeling-set-motor-en-bakzijde/2474-koppelingsset-motor-bak-aixam.html That is at least the clutch I had in my micro-car, a clutch for the engine and one for the gearbox. Shops never realy mention modelnumbers, but I guess they are the same. Do keep in mind, these clutches are meant for micro-cars, which usualy have less powerfull engines (about 5,5HP) than other machines that use this type of transmission (like mini-tractors, or the amphibious machine you mentioned) which usualy have 15 to 45 HP.
+Al McCormick Go to any ATV snowmobile aftermarket store and jive them your motor specs and They can order a comet clutch to match your motor specs. Comet clutches can be made to many horse power and torque needs. I am in Canada and I would use ROYAL DISTRIBUTING.

Hello, i wondered if anyone can help me, my drive belt breaks very fast, about 40km and it explodes, seems like it Gets to high up on the primary variator, please help me
+wiborg344 These little cars are called 'microcars' or 'mopedcars' , they're smaller and lighter than normal cars with a 45KM/h speed limit (but they can do 50 to 60KM/h no problem). Not sure if they're for sale world wide, but are quite popular in Europe, most brands come from France and Italy. The one I had (sold it few years ago) was an Aixam. But there are more simular microcar brands like JDM, Microcar, Ligier. They run very cheap and therefor are popular to have as second car for short distances (going to the mall or something) or for people who do not own a car-license.
@@IDK-sp1tp That is correct, and without any limiters even above 100 km/h. However, not recommanded as you can get in trouble with insurance company or lose your drivers license if you get pulled over by the police (75 km/h is 30 km/h above their allowed speedlimit, and here you lose your license if a moped/minicar or a scooter goes that fast, for cars and such is 50 km/h). And ofcourse safety as the brakes on those minicars aren't made to withstand those speeds (unless you upgrade them).
Very nice Sound!

Thanks!

It just did (I didn't adjust anything, it just does that the way I bought the vehicle the engine is in). The belt ofcourse has to be tight.

It's running on 2 cyl oh wait its an inline 2 cyl diesel.
the oil dipstick looks almost too close to the belt ...
Yeah now you mention it, it does look that way. However, in all those years, it never hit the dipstick (no wear on the housing of the dipstick).
