Doctors are well versed with diagnosis of diseases and devise a treatment plan while pharmacists formulate, dispense and optimize drug therapy.

The problem is; in developing countries they have launched the degree of PharmD which is actually an american style of pharmacy education and more clinically oriented degree as compared to Bpharmacy; but haven’t mended the clinical/hospital system accordingly. In united states you cannot take a medicine from pharmacy unless the prescription is checked and signed/stamped by a pharmacist. Drug dispensing occurs through a proper channel. Here in our country a physician(so called mbbs REAL doctors!) is all in all. With the exception of narcotics and few other classes of drugs, rest of all drugs are available OTC and no prescription is needed for their dispensing. If we want to practice the degree of “doctor of pharmacy” ; which is technically equivalent and in level to mbbs or bds or dpt; in developing countries, things need to be changed from grass root level.

Mbbs has both diagnosis and treatment along with surgery apart from this they have idea about derma , radiology, anaesthesia , obs gyn pediatrics this make mbbs costly so it's expensive that is not possible in pharm D😊😊

@@storybuttruth pharmd candidate has a nice hold in pharmacology and therapeutics which is not found in bpharm canditate they are specialized in industrial pharmacy but pharmd has therapeutics which makes them different from b pharm candidates

We know the diseases but can't diagnose them but if doctor tell us about the diseases we have more knowledge about dosage of medicine, there types, action in body, drug drug interactions so we can prescribe better. We have a special subject called pharmacotherpeutics

It's true as per the current situation, so it is better to pursue B.Pharm and M.Pharm over a PharmD, you also have an option of pursuing PharmD (PB) after B.Pharm, so you can pursue it after B.Pharm if the scope for Clinical Pharmacists increases in those 4 years.

Sir , while doing experiment in poc i was doing test using test tube and was heating it , unfortunately it got burst on my face , now it left a small marks under the eye. Please suggest me that How can I cure it ?
