Been looking for "vibe" videos of different locations and so far this one is the best. Actually feels like you're there in the moment. made me forget i was stuck in the house cleaning for awhile lol
Great shots! I was fortunate to do an inside passage cruise and spend a few additional days to see Anchorage, Kotzebue and Nome. Always wanted to go back to Nome in March to watch the Iditarod at the finish line.
When there’s a large one, after shocks happen for months after many times a day! I’m not an expert though, that was just my experience when I lived there!
im sorry but yall shouldve just flew across that ice lol the slower u go the longer it has pressure building on it or u could even skimmed the water not ice depending on your actual speed
So cool, literally. I lived up in Hatcher Pass just out of Willow and my brother lived in Talkeetna from 2001-2006. I had an amazing time there. Girdwood(Alyeska) is a great ski area. Glad you got to experience some of it too. Luv the glasses.
I spent 2 amazing years as a meteorologist in Delta Junction (100 miles SE of Fairbanks) courtesy of the US Army (1982 to 1984). I experienced temperatures as low as -75 and as high as 90. The aurora was so common, I could see it every night, and when I returned to the lower 48 I was amazed that there were no auroras in the sky! One day I was doing a midnight weather balloon flight and I had to go outside to measure the surface temperature. It was -30. I looked up to see what clouds were there (completely clear) and was amazed at the light show! Normally auroras look like curtains slowly waving in a light breeze, but these auroras looked like a hurricane was hitting them. After 15 minutes my buddy got worried about me so he came outside and saw the show. We spent 2 hours watching them until they subsided. Fortunately the captain was very understanding about why the flight was 2 hours late. One time I was out taking temperature readings for tank testing when it was -65. At temperatures below -40, your breath doesn't go away but just creates a fog around you. I had to move over a few feet every 5 minutes just to be able to see, and I could look over at my small cloud where I was standing. Car exhaust is the same way since it's mostly moisture. Everyone drives in a thick fog when it's cold. One day I had to turn off the main highway and climb a hill to service a remote graphing thermometer. As soon as I turned onto the access road, the fog ended since no other cars used the road. And on top of the hill it was +40 degrees! The cold air is usually only a hundred feet thick. But sometimes it gets warm very fast. A Chinook (strong wind) came through one day and raised the temperature 100 degrees (-60 to +40) in under 30 seconds! I had many other adventures (square tires, midnight sun, hot springs, caught in a buffalo herd), and if I could do it all over again, I'D MOVE TO FLORIDA!!!
my reaction... oooooh! brrrr! Moose! no way would I cross that water! so pretty! did they actually see the northern lights? no way thats an icicle! did Kenai want to run with the pack? you look gorgeous at the ball!
Love your comment!!! Hahah and yeah that part of the trip was scary! And yes we saw them but they were kinda dim. And Kenai is definitely an Alaskan pup! Haha and thank you!!!

Thin my favorite area around there would be Seward & Homer. Not a big fan of Alaska winters even though I spent the last 5 up there.
Love Seward! But ya winters are rough haha 5 is impressive!
@@houseboatgirl4764 I would rather be in the FL Keys lol, but the Commercial fishing money is great so I deal.
It looks breathtaking up there, it makes me want to go so much more now.
You should! So worth it.
It is gorgeous up there but I don't do cold well to many broken bones. Every winter I swear I am moving to the equator. lol
