I was born in Kuala Belait but grew up in Seria until 8 yrs old then moved to Canada. I have lots of fond memories of schooling at St Margaret and visiting Shell company where mom had worked. I recalled BSP-place for recreation and sports. My dad used to managed the old Roxana movie house.

I went to Panaga primary for 4 years, huge class of 6 kids 🤣🤣
The SRC in Panaga was the Ritz of Borneo back then lol

Lived here between '66 and '73. Absolutely loved it. Had a wonderful childhood memory here. It's peaceful, calm, laid back and just have that wonderful small town feel to it. Missed it very much.

wow the jungle has almost vanished. In 68 it was clearly visible from Seria

Apart from the general layout I could not recognise any of the shops in Seria town as they seem to have been rebuilt since I used to shop around there in the mid-60s. Was hoping to see the Post Office/Boxes and a cinema theatre. It has been a nostalgic walk down memory lane for me. I am hoping to make a final visit one of these days. Terima Kasih🙏🏿🙏🏿 . (FEN/UK)
