I have a Curtis cab on my golf cart, absolutely love it, as a Floridian it's perfect for escaping the rain when I'm on the golf course, I can literally sit in the middle of the fairway in a poring storm and stay dry while everyone else is running to the club house.
I’m not sure how I missed this video it was very helpful. I hope you two will be getting back to doing more. Since you have two carts, one four seater and one two seater, I’d love to see a video with a close comparison of both of them. I’ve always thought that having the same arrangement for us would be ideal. Especially for family and friends when they visit us. 😊
This is golden: Just got one I love it so far, this video has perfect timing. Mine didn't come with the mirrors but I bought mirrors to install. I think I'll have my mirrors installed a little lower. Thanks a million for the heads up.
Our 2 seater in this video has a "Curtis Cab" enclosure. Our 2+2 only has the curtain roll down enclosure that came standard with the cart. Not sure of the brand of the curtain enclosure. Thanks for watching!
What a great video! I love and appreciate Brenda's perspective, the shopping basket would matter to me too, as well as the golf cart hair, LOL. That is a huge difference in the fields of vision. My one question is how hot does it get in the curtis cab? I'm very hot natured, so that would be a factor for me. Thanks guys!!!
Hi how are you doing I was just wondering where did you guys get that from because I have been looking for Something like that for my golf cart if it rains
Thank you for another great video. Wow, there is a big difference in regards to the blind spot between the carts. I do like both carts, so not sure if that would be a deal breaker or not. Maybe by the time I retire they will have modified the design and it will not be an issue. Thank you for the info and the laughs.
Both carts are definitely different. I am glad we are fortunate to have 2 different styles so we can choose the cart that works best for the conditions of the day. Thanks for watching!
Yes. The doors stay in the open position. We only close them for rain or cold. If you look close in the video you will see that we are driving the cart with the cab in the open position in all of the shots. So yes when golfing you can leave the door open. With the doors open there is full air flow through the cab. We have not noticed it to be any hotter then our normal golf cart during the summer when driving with the doors open. Thanks for watching!
Do you like the split front windshield on your Curtis cab cart? Any negatives of that windshield design? Do the taller seats obstruct rear viewing when reversing out of a parking spot?
Thanks for another great video! I wasn't sure, but was that a lock on the curtis cab door handle? Not that it is truly secure, but would be nice if it could lock!
Yes it is a lock. It is only a minimal amount of security as you can reach through the window or unzip the back window to get things, so I still wouldn't leave anything of value in the cart.
Does the four seater stick out when you park at the square. We ordered a new cart with the flatbed four seater and my wife is worried about parking it. Thanks for all the great information. Santa Bob🎅🏻
It is slightly longer, but it does not stick out in the road. We park just like any other cart without any issue. But a 4 seater cart with all forward facing seats may stick out.
Great info thank you! What does Yamaha call your upgraded cabin seat and rear facing seat setup on the gold cart? I think that is the setup we would want.
I think the model is "Drive 2". If you go that route be sure to get the extended roof over the rear seats. you can get the normal roof, but that will leave the rear passengers in the rain. The seats are "Texas Sportster". Definitely worth the upgrade money for the seats if you plan on driving a lot. They are very comfortable and adjust forward and backward if you have any drivers that are "vertically challenged" like us.🤣
Nice looking and stylish carts. Thanks for the review. Does the inside of the one with Curtis cab get get warmer (hotter) in summer when parked, and does that cab restrict air flow? Thidly do you golf, as my concern would be with in and out on the course. Thanks
The cab does not seem any hotter when the doors are open and the cart is moving, but yes if it is parked with the doors closed the inside will get hot like a car with the windows up. The cab does not restrict air flow. The back area behind our head opens so air flows through. Air comes in the open door and front windshield and then out the open area behind our head. We do not golf, but with the doors latched open getting in and out of the cart is no different than a cart without the cab. hope that helps.
That is actually EndeavourDek. It is a decorative material that can be put on many areas of the cart. We have it on the floor, the storage area on the back and the flaps over the window and inside the cab over our head. It is an option offered through The Villages Golf Carts. endeavourdek.com/
We jumped over that area since the shopping cart and back was not part of the Curtis Cab. we may do a more in depth golf cart overview video in the future.
The price difference of the 2 tops is astronomical and doesn't justify the 30 seconds-1 min per side. I can get a soft enclosure for $150. That Curtis was how much?
Yes. The doors stay in the open position. We only close them for rain or cold. If you look close in the video you will see that we are driving the cart with the cab in the open position in all of the shots. Thanks for watching!
I think ours was a little less, but that was over a year ago. I would not be surprised if it is $4,000 now. Yes that was installed. There is the trade off that each person must weigh for themselves.... cabs are expensive, but VERY convenient. Also keep in mind the cab is a luxury, definitely not a requirement for a cart to be comfortable. The vast majority of carts in The Villages do not have any type of hard shell cab. Not sure about self install, I would guess you can, but we did not investigate self installation or how much that would save. Thanks for watching!
The problem with lowering the mirror is the cab contours out away from the rail at the lower mount location so you can’t see the mirror through the window since it is hidden behind the plastic. A different mirror with a longer mounting arm could work at the lower location but it will stick out farther from the cart. We have just learned to adjust our head, so the current position works for us. Thanks for watching!
I like your choice of seats and cab. It looks really comfortable and dry.
One of the nicer ones i have seen.

We love ours too. Thanks for watching!
That was so funny when Brenda got the giggles! 😃
She does that a lot. Thanks for watching!
I’m not sure how I missed this video it was very helpful. I hope you two will be getting back to doing more.

I'll go with curtis cab. Thanks for the demo Brenda.
Your very welcome!

Great video. BTW what brand/model of enclosure do you have on your 2+2? Thx.

I have a new curtis cab on a 2014 that rattles so bad! Yours is so quiet compared to mine!
Another great video on practical info on life here.
Thank you. we are trying to be as helpful as we can. Thanks for watching!

Good demo. Thank you.
Our pleasure!
Great informative video!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi how are you doing I was just wondering where did you guys get that from because I have been looking for Something like that for my golf cart if it rains
Great info as usual! Does the Curtis Cab allow you to have A/C inside the cart?
no. The Curtis cab does not have an air condition option. The only cart with air condition that I am aware of is the Atomic Cart. Thanks for watching!

So can you drive around with the door open for when you're on the golf course?..
And does it heat up a lot in the summertime?..
Yes. The doors stay in the open position. We only close them for rain or cold. Hilarious when you said I will close my eyes while driving. Brenda looked like she wanted out right then.
🤣 We were wondering if anybody would notice her reaction. Thanks for watching!

@@ExploringTheVillagesFlorida Thank you!
Hey Guys! Great video! About how much additional cost does the Curtis Cab add, if I may ask?
I think it was about $3,500 when we bought our cart over a year ago. Not sure about today's cost.
Nice looking and stylish carts. Thanks for the review. Does the inside of the one with Curtis cab get get warmer (hotter) in summer when parked, and does that cab restrict air flow? Thidly do you golf, as my concern would be with in and out on the course. Thanks

Off topic Question...
On the black and white car, Is that floor mats or was the inside floor/lower dash painted?
That is actually EndeavourDek. It is a decorative material that can be put on many areas of the cart. We have it on the floor, the storage area on the back and the flaps over the window and inside the cab over our head. It is an option offered through The Villages Golf Carts. endeavourdek.com/
@@ExploringTheVillagesFlorida I like it! Thank you for sharing.
There are endless options for the EndeavorDek. Multiple colors and patterns. Even custom patterns with text to support sports teams etc.
Did I miss the part where you discussed the back of the cart? I wouldn’t have minded seeing that shopping cart and how the back can be utilized.
We jumped over that area since the shopping cart and back was not part of the Curtis Cab. we may do a more in depth golf cart overview video in the future.
@@ExploringTheVillagesFlorida ok. That makes sense now. My husband would use a cart for golf and I'm not quite sure yet how I'd use it.
Thank you.
Nice job
Thanks!

Wish Curtis made cab for Yamaha U Max 2. 2021
Thanks for watching!
Did your cab really cost 4000.00 and is that installed? Can I install it my self?
I think ours was a little less, but that was over a year ago. I would not be surprised if it is $4,000 now. Yes that was installed. Try putting blind spot mirrors on your outside mirrors.
Thanks for the tip!
What brand carts....Gas or Electronics?
both of our carts are Yamaha Quiet Tech gas carts.
Is the Curtis Cab street legal?
The cart is what determines street legality. Our Curtis cab is on a Yamaha quiet tech cart that is NOT street legal. Thanks for watching!
It's electric?
The mirror in the Curtis needs to be lower…..it was mounted lower in your other cart
The problem with lowering the mirror is the cab contours out away from the rail at the lower mount location so you can’t see the mirror through the window since it is hidden behind the plastic. A different mirror with a longer mounting arm could work at the lower location but it will stick out farther from the cart. Yeah, but I think I’d rather spend the $4K on a set of PXG golf clubs. Still, an interesting vid.
Unfortunately we don’t golf so we had to spend it somewhere else 🤣 thanks for watching!
Great video but please wear your seat belts!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Not that helpful! You completely ignored the right side blind spot!!!! It's completely useless!!
