Straits of Malacca Part 2 - Sailing Cassius - Tale 18

Cassius Crew is continuing their journey through Malacca Straits. Neither wind nor current is on our side... we have a rope wrapped around the prop and local fishermen harassing us in the middle of the night. We also get to check out a bizarre island of Pulau Besar with its huge abandoned resort, and finally reach our destination at Puteri Harbour.

Hi, thanks for sharing the trip. Where you never concern of piracy when you did so many stop along the way. Many boats just hurry asap down to Singapore but when I saw your video I maybe consider island hopping down the straits.

Piracy in Malacca Straits has been eradicated many years ago, so no, we were not concerned at all. It is nice to stop along the way, we discovered some hidden gems like Pulau Besar. Just be careful of unlit fishing boats at night and all the debris and fishing nets in the water... Fair winds!
