Hey Thea. Awesome video as usual! Just wanted to say that I would love to see a deck guide for Vampires. The two new cards in the monster faction are so cool in my opinion haha
I created this deack (took three days of collecting and skrapping card pices, finally bought 7 barrels to get it), watched your video through twice! Then played in training mode to test it out and have LOST 10 straight games, even a novice should have been able to do better than that? I have tried every combination I can against almost every faction and it just seems to fall over every dam time! Not sure if it is because I am in training you can get "Pro's" and I am only level 13 at present but it is just driving me crazy, don't know what I am doing wrong here? Like I said I watched your stratagies through a few times and it just seems I can't get the right cards to appear when needed! Yet with my great oak build I never lose to the AI and genreally win 8 out of 10 on every level or game. But I really want this to work as I love the idea's of the traps, I am really either VERY unluck or I am doing something fately wrong with my stratagy on this one? Any suggestions?

That first game against mill was pretty much any mill match up in a nutshell. I have to say, I don't exactly understand peoples who play mill in Gwent. I respect their choice, obviously but the deck is awful (basically forces the opponent to virtualy lose card advantage....But is so weak on tempo that it has to go minus 3 or 4 in the process...Which kinda beat the whole purpose of this kind of strategy). Also, Hattori's line when you play him always makes me smile. It comes from The Witcher 3 in a side quest that's adviced to be done at level 25 (I don't know why I remember that specifically but I do). "A sword to outshine all others" he says....Before giving you a dump that is essentially outclassed by everything you have at this point XD [whisper] Don't tell him it's bad, the doctor said it's dangerous to upset him [/whisper]
I thought I should try it in the real match as I would be against players around my level and I got a really good run good order of cards etc... but got my ass handed to me again.... I thought I would win this one but was playing against the coins and they just keep hammering my only point cards so even though I trashed there hand in the last round I only had the dead eye's left after transformation and they was just not able to cut it after their coins boasted all that power back which I just took away... At this rate I am going to lose my ranking fast, maybe time to write this one off and move on...?
I think hattori is too high provision cost and would rather take him out for 8 and 7 cost provision cards. if he were 8 or 7 himself he would fit in my personal deck. but elves and elf traps were always my favourite decks in this game. good it has some love. maybe next expansion we will get another trap card or a trap synergy card to even it out a bit more
weirdly playing against traps is quite interesting I mean this version because its a guessing game and managing your resources efficiently... until someone slaps Madoc in that deck and ruins any kind of fun in this game, I just hope the devotions of all the cards were as strong as unseen elder, emhyer and eist where you just want that devotion because the archetypes feel complete and needed just that little push to be viable and these cards allow that, while eldain, foltest, and junior just have devotion to "support" the weaker archetypes a bit more when the devotion is so insignificant you just don't want it, and yes queen meve is just an overpriced bone talisman, as NR main I feel offended that we didn't get a good queen meve card design I mean, look at the other cards that dont have devotion that were added and you will see how NR always gets this treatment. we could've got mage support or knight support. foltest is fun if you aren't facing a unitless deck or heavy control decks.
Is that a Metallica riff in your intro Thea? Mill decks are definitely the worst thing Gwent has to offer. It takes a very special kind of evil person to play mill.
