Back in 1976 Steve Jobs co-founded Apple. And during his time at the company, he built an incredible legacy that continues to be admired today. But things weren’t always smooth sailing for Steve Jobs. In fact he was fired from Apple in 1985, only nine years after starting the company. So in this video we’re going to take a closer look at the events leading up to his removal, and investigate why it happened.

Apple fans:-EVERYONE KNOWS WHY, SO NO POINT MAKING THIS VIDEO
Literally normal humans:-wait what Steve was fired?
Hahhaaaa, yes!😂
Well I mean he did talk about it before and he named the reasons in other videos. So if you watch his videos you kinda already know that.
And after all he wasn't actually fired.
@@interestingmchannel so you're literary 20% Apple fan
Lol so true.
I was thinking on how dumb this video was.
Commercial break at 3:43, regular programming resumes at 4:46 😀
Thank u so much
Yes
Ayyyy
You sacrificed your own time so you can save ours... RESPECT!
This needs to be the top comment
Ok but after he was fired, the company was suffering, he was eventually re-hired because Apple needed him
Well obviously
WE GOT EINSTEIN OVERHERE!!!

@@xXmlgamingXx355 oh no you poor thing, it's not like this is the internet or anything.

no it's because steve founded next and apple bought next which led to him back in apple
I think Jobs getting fired influenced him to be the genius he was today
What do you mean the genius he "was" today

Steve jobs is the reason Apple is a trillion dollar company
@jfktruthseeker420
U drunk bro ?
Get a BRAIN
@jfktruthseeker420 Bill Gates just looks creepy in my opinion.
Imagine Steve never returning
And his own company would make the iPhone
I bet apple probably would use windows and be a part of windows🤣
@@overcookedbbqchicken5235 apple is a 2 Trillin dollar company
@@overcookedbbqchicken5235 I said apple not a person apple is worth 2 trillion
I wanna hear about Steve Wozniak, he's one of my biggest heroes. I admire him over Jobs because I'm a programmer and interested in the history of old hardware that changed personal computing and video games
Wiz has an autobiography. It's available on Audible. I highly recommend it.
He was. born August 11, 1950 (age 70)
I know python and Java
Yeah Steve was a good guy
Imagine Michael Scott(The Office) is CEO of Apple Inc(fictional).
Wait he was fired from his own company
Luke I did I just never know that and watch how you talk to me did nobody ask you for your two cents
Luke lmfao if he wasn’t fired from apple then the video title is incorrect and therefore it’s clickbait so shut up
Mark Essa thank you
No. He didn't get fired.
Its a click bait steve jobs was not really fired from his job
Imagine getting fired from a company that you founded by a person that you hired ! I would be crushed
Imagine getting fired from your own company - Being backstabbed is harsh but backstabbing is the other way around for the guy who doing it
It was necessary though
Moral of the story: If you found a company, never give up your executive power to someone else.
1:04 :office theme starts playing
John Sculley nearly killed Apple by firing Jobs. Gil Amelio saved Apple by buying NeXT and bringing Jobs back.
Nobody fired Jobs.
Buh I know more than you aobot appy than you in I'm android
Amelio kept it from dying but Steve Jobs saved it anyways
Sculley pretty much stabbed Jobs in the back...
Jobs was busy killing Apple with failure after failure after failure, largely by undermining Wozniak at every turn, trying to design appliances, which in turn caused severe engineering issues half the time, something that the current MacBooks still have (with their display cables that break because they're too short to save half a penny).
"What ended in 1986?"
"1985"
"What ended in 1985??"
*"Steve Jobs' carreer"*
I really enjoyed this! Im waiting for part 2! When Jobs Returned with a Vengence!! Great pictures of Steve Jobs!

Thank you as Always
Very nice video. Very informative and interesting. Well edited and well done by Greg from Apple explained.
For any Apple fans out there, reading Steve Jobs Bio is a must. A lot of these items are discussed there and it's interesting to see who the man was behind the curtain. I admired Him more after seeing that he was like the rest of us, only a person. (:
And I like Steve Jobs over all the big ones out there.
I just found your videos!! so great!
The fact that he stormed out, rather than simply being fired, makes a lot more sense lol

Sculley called an emergency meeting
'Steve Jobs was not the Impostor'
LOL
When the imposter is sussy (suspicious or suspect) 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I wished you placed a link for your podcast here in the description info.
i did an essay on Steve...i learned about this!
I did an essay on Steve Jobs too! Back in third grade… 😂😅
Michael Scott worked for Dunder Mifflin paper Co. 😚
Glad to know that you are a huge Office fan😂
Steve Jobs took advantage of being fired to create 2 companies that changed 2 industries forever. He built NExT which Apple used for MacOS and then helped create Pixar which took animation to the next level. He truly took lemons and made lemonade!
All Hail to Toy Story Movie (1995)

Just FYI: even if Steve was ceo at the time, he still could’ve removed by the board.
But Steve was never fired. He quit after being stripped of all titles.
Watch the entire video this is explained lol

Hey APPLE EXPLAINER !!! 😀
1:03 dang, Michael Scott quit Dunder Mifflin to Work at Apple?!
I remember Apple stock at $8-10/share back when Jobs returned to Apple. I had 10k to invest from my mom. Thought a lot about how cheap it seemed but then turned to Futures and lost all my money.
This comment will most likely be lost, but I just want to remind you that Apple will be hosting a event in 15 hours from now.
For some reason, I no longer see the "Join" button on your channel. What happened to it?
ashton kutcher really looked like Steve jobs from before...played the role well in movie lol. legend steve
Awesome!
It’s sad he got fired from Apple
Watch the damn video first
He wasn't even fired.

Steve Jobs: "You can't do this to me... I started this company. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED?!"
I have a question about you...
While I've been a subscriber to this channel for 2 and a half years, I've never seen you discuss your personal relations with Apple, if any. Have you ever worked as an Apple Genius or employee at Apple before? If so, did you enjoy working for them? I ask because I am considering applying for a job as an Apple Genius after my desired transition from female to male and I would like some input from someone who has had any experience working for Apple. I've been an Apple enthusiast since childhood and I enjoy watching your videos and learning more about the company!
He wasn’t fired he opted himself out until his own company was bought which brought him right back into apple
My dad had an opportunity to meet Sculley during the Pepsi-co days. His description of him was a stereo-typical corporate leadership asshole of the highest order. His time at Apple was catastrophic, making most of the mistakes that nearly killed the company twice over.
what is the name of your podcast?
can somebody please telll me the name of his background music i really like the chill, song
The September Apple Event has just finished and no iPhone has been announced! Why?
@Dino Dungeon I'm referring to the highly anticipated iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro phones, since an iPhone SE 2020 is already selling.
@Dino Dungeon I'm talking about iPhones, not iPads! (And, I know, iPad were already announced at the event: just look at the innovations on the new iPad Air!)
The Macintosh was actually made by the other Steve 😂😂😂
Well he made the company, and when he left they needed him back so he wasn’t fired, he is the one that fired all the workers that weren’t doing enough 😂
Cant wait till a movie is made about Steve
Please make a sequel video.
A perfect channel for NON POLARIZERS

Well I guess he had a job at both of them, so it’s Steve Jobs.
Also Steve Pixar

I would not let my staff fires me.
My dad had an Apple 2e when he was little.
Wait a minute, PIXAR? He had a role in that? I need to know more
it was sold for 10K but it only made a little over 10K? Did you mean it sold only 10K in Units?
On this episode of founders who build businesses and industrys that they later either get fired from or could never get hired at today. Featuring lew ranieri, jp morgan, steve jobs, etc.
Dude don’t run ads in middle of your videos.
I pay premium to avoid ads. Run them in the end so I can skip it. Thank you
If you would have Premium then you wouldn't even see ads. And he won't change it.
Iduna64 dude he Literally talked about squarespace right in the middle. that’s not UA-cam ads it’s edited that way
@@eisaaltamimi3500 Oh you mean that. I thought you meant the ads that UA-cam plays automatically which are skipable. Yeah those Sponsored Ads are really annoying. But as I already said, he won't change that. You know, because of Money. All that he probably cares about at this point.
my mom and dad finally got iphone 12 pro max and got my mums iphone 7 plus is now mine now btw she got it how does she buy icloud storage she needs some can someone help ?
Lessor known fact, but after being fired he went on to create the wildly successful animation studio Pixar
regular humans: interesting story

wow lol

wait...so michael scott was in charge of apple. how did he end up in paper sales?
This video is all about: SquareSpace
I swear when he said “Michael Scott” who else remembered Office
Apple is so controversial, especially this.. Wozniak said Steve wasn’t useful to the company, and the company slowly but surely declined and couldn’t stay afloat and it was better without him. Some fans disagree and say Steve was the most influential person in the company.
I agree with the former.. what do you guys think 🤔
Why was Steve Jobs fired

Who knew Micheal left Dunder Mifflin for selling computers? 1:04
What phone do you use now apple explain
Considering he's a Apple User and he probably makes tons of Money with his Videos he will most likely use a iPhone 11 Pro Max. Oh and he also said that in one of his Streams.
Apple then - multi million dollar company
Apple now - multi BILLION dollar company
Steve Jobs: Tries to take over the company
Sculley: EMERGENCY MEETING
Not funny
Nice
funny thing those computers still work today prolly just need ram upgrade lol
1985?!
I personally think the choice of thumbnail is tasteless and also misleading considering when he was actually “fired”.
Wait, was Steve Jobs an actual person?? I thought "Steve jobs" were what Apple called jobs that required Actual know-how in anything technical and non-design-related. And so they would call the jobs "Steve jobs" as in jobs for Steve Wozniak to solve? Am I getting this right?
