Music Production is about Sound Production

The main goal of a music producer is to produce quality record that can be enjoyed by their target audience. In this video we discussed the importance of the fundamental role of the music producer and how understanding sound impacts the producer's ability to produce a quality record. We discuss the importance of being able to instruct personnel on a production to use the right tools in order to achieve the best results for a song. We also discussed the importance of preproduction and how A/B testing is part of the preproduction process. We also discussed the importance of capturing a strong recording, as opposed to fixing things in the mix.

The devices sound different it using the separate outputs allows you to process the sounds without being limited by the headroom of the internal software

People seem butt hurt. If you like the sound of the modern devices… use it. If you don’t; don’t. Just be honest about the fact they sound different. Old crappy circuit boards or high modern specification circuit boards… at the end of the day 99.9% of us are hobbyists… it’s a professional telling us to experiment.
