This era was a real masterpiece. It was a beautiful cinematic experience, looking for theories until 4 am on BTS forums, in comment sections and exchanging ideas, looking at every single detail in order to understand what it means. I always come back to this era, the Young Forever era and Blood, Sweat and Tears era. Even though not as much, I still enjoy the new era and new BTS of course, even though nothing can trigger the same emotions as this era.

There are so many little details that contradict themselves and things did become a little chaotic at a certain point so I’m not sure…

Run is my state right now, how i feel constantly. Wasted youth, anger at something unknown, repression, rage against myself, the world. I just wanna run run run infinitely. I wanna run in a far away field till my lungs burn, my legs start shaking and i vomit. I wanna run till my mind gets blurry and ache everywhere. Run brings that feeling to me.
this mv and song makes me feel a certain type of way... it makes me nostalgic and makes me want to be a teenager, mess around, sneak out... but is sad at the same time, it really defines how you feel when youre in your teenage years

Guys they all connect. I need U, the prologue, and this. Jin was the first to die. When I Need U came out, everyone was curious to what Jin was. Jin was dead. Everyone killed themselves because they couldn't stand the fact that Jin was gone. Jungkook was the only one that accepted that he was gone. In the prologue, V calls someone. Yet we don't know who it is. all he says is, "Hyung. I Miss you." or something like that. All the other members are "alive" except Jin. It then goes on to say, "You can smile when you're all together." They were happy and having a good time because they were together. However I do think that maybe Jin was a fragment of their imagination because V jumps from the platform. He would only do that if he had a good reason. Maybe he was happy and filled that he could re-live the days with Jin. He jumped because he felt like he was ready to join him. Jin might have thought he was alive gut soon realized that he was dead because of the picture Rap Mon took of him and Suga. I can't remember but I think it was Suga that was gone. Jin might have thought he had taken it with him but didn't OR Jin was missing making him realize that HE was dead. Coming to Run, I think that the beginning shot was V after he died, going to the afterlife. The House of Cards represented them, and when V ruined it, it shows how when he jumped, the other members also died. Jin knowing that there was nothing he could do to stop them. J-hope had woken up in a hospital maybe and in tyue afterlife. Meeting Jimin who was waiting for him. Jungkook was the only one who had accepted that Jin was gone and Suga had tried to drink his way, but getting violent. Jungkook tried to stop him while crying. The scene right after that was Jungkooks memory of the "good times." Rap Mon and V spray painting because it reminded them of Jin. The scene where Rap Mon picked up the card and had a butterfly on it, probably meant that Jin was free, like a butterfly. The last scene with Jimin, he had a picture of all of them except Jin. He burnt it in the bathroom where they "had fun" to represent him wanting to forget all of it and move on to another life. After he died he met up with J-hope. The last scene with the person above the water is V passing through to the afterlife. My theory may not seem to make sense but if you rearrange it then it does.

I don't know why but this song reliefs a certain nostalgic sentiment in my heart that I can't quite decipher even if I haven't or will not experience what is shown on this music video. It still felt like I've gone through this before. The music really reflects what the music video suggests, it really just makes you want to run alone in a cloudy big wet field after the rain. Makes you want to run until you can't anymore. When you close your eyes and listen to this song in the dark, it makes your heart beat with excitement but also with fear. Fear of the future, the responsibility and the pain you have to withhold, and it makes you want to run from it. To just drop everything and just go. Reliefs a certain emotion in me when i really just want to fade away and just - run. This song is beautiful, so underrated but utterly beautiful. I wish more people can feel the music more and let it relief that *feeling* within their hearts.

Guys they all connect. I need U, the prologue, and this. Jin was the first to die. When I Need U came out, everyone was curious to what Jin was. Jin was dead. Everyone killed themselves because they couldn't stand the fact that Jin was gone. Jungkook was the only one that accepted that he was gone. In the prologue, V calls someone. Yet we don't know who it is. all he says is, "Hyung. I Miss you." or something like that. All the other members are "alive" except Jin. It then goes on to say, "You can smile when you're all together." They were happy and having a good time because they were together. However I do think that maybe Jin was a fragment of their imagination because V jumps from the platform. He would only do that if he had a good reason. Maybe he was happy and filled that he could re-live the days with Jin. He jumped because he felt like he was ready to join him. Jin might have thought he was alive gut soon realized that he was dead because of the picture Rap Mon took of him and Suga. I can't remember but I think it was Suga that was gone. Jin might have thought he had taken it with him but didn't OR Jin was missing making him realize that HE was dead. Coming to Run, I think that the beginning shot was V after he died, going to the afterlife. The House of Cards represented them, and when V ruined it, it shows how when he jumped, the other members also died. Jin knowing that there was nothing he could do to stop them. J-hope had woken up in a hospital maybe and in tyue afterlife. Meeting Jimin who was waiting for him. Jungkook was the only one who had accepted that Jin was gone and Suga had tried to drink his way, but getting violent. Jungkook tried to stop him while crying. The scene right after that was Jungkooks memory of the "good times." Rap Mon and V spray painting because it reminded them of Jin. The scene where Rap Mon picked up the card and had a butterfly on it, probably meant that Jin was free, like a butterfly. The last scene with Jimin, he had a picture of all of them except Jin. He burnt it in the bathroom where they "had fun" to represent him wanting to forget all of it and move on to another life. After he died he met up with J-hope. The last scene with the person above the water is V passing through to the afterlife.
My theory may not seem to make sense but if you rearrange it then it does.

I am so happy when I heard Run got into top 100 most viewed. This song deserve more.
I don't know why but this song reliefs a certain nostalgic sentiment in my heart that I can't quite decipher even if I haven't or will not experience what is shown on this music video. It still felt like I've gone through this before. The music really reflects what the music video suggests, it really just makes you want to run alone in a cloudy big wet field after the rain. Makes you want to run until you can't anymore.
When you close your eyes and listen to this song in the dark, it makes your heart beat with excitement but also with fear. Fear of the future, the responsibility and the pain you have to withhold, and it makes you want to run from it. To just drop everything and just go. Reliefs a certain emotion in me when i really just want to fade away and just - run.
